A BRAVE MAN MURDERED
NRO - The Corner ^ | 4/15/04 | Andrew Stuttaford

Amid all the talk about European 'appeasement', it's worth reading this extract from a Reuters story:

"ROME, April 15 (Reuters) -...Fabrizio Quattrocchi, one of four Italian security guards abducted [in Iraq] earlier this week, was shot dead on Wednesday after Italy refused to bow to the kidnappers' demands that it withdraw its troops from Iraq. Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said a video recording of the killing showed that Quattrocchi was hooded when his kidnappers put a gun to his head. "When the murderers were pointing a pistol at him, this man tried to take off his hood and shouted: 'Now I'm going to show you how an Italian dies'. And they killed him," Frattini said. "He died a hero," he added..."

Indeed he did. The murderers that butchered him are, needless to say, beneath contempt.

a man cut from the cloth of which we all hope, should such misfortune ever befall us, to discover that we, too, are made.

Sound like a tough SOB -- a very brave guy. I hope some coalition forces catch up with those who did this.

Bless his heart! I am so glad he at least tried to show the monster's what a real man is before they viciously murdered him.

Viva Italia! This man did all Italians, and all humans, proud.

My blood boils that this man is dead and scum that killed him still walks the earth...

Video-taping of such "events" seem to interest Chechens. They did after all, produce the "Russian Death Video" that was posted all over the net. Seems like that started these types of "events." Sickening in any case.

This Italian was one, double-tough man. If I could face certain death and be half as brave, I'd be satisfied...

========= Fabrizio Quattrocchi =========

Italian hostage Fabrizio Quattrocchi, kidnapped by Iraqi (read Iranian and Syrian) terrorists
was murdered as the terrorists posed for Al-Jazeera television which was going to
show his vicious murder until he said, "I'm going to show you how an Italian dies."
Al-Jazeera which has NO trouble masking out terrorists faces and showing beheadings
decided this comment of heroism facing terror could not go out. It has not.

Fabrizio Quattrocchi, 36, in better times.

You're welcome. Like your byline.

"We are not afraid of any of your terrorist co-conspirators, Mr. Reid ...
"You’re a big fellow. But you’re not that big. You’re no warrior. I know warriors....
You are a terrorist, a species of criminal guilty of multiple attempted murders."
To call you a soldier gives you far too much stature. You are a terrorist, and we do not negotiate with terrorists.
We hunt them down one by one and bring them to justice. ...
"See that flag, Mr. Reid?
That is the flag of the United States of America
That flag will fly there long after this is long forgotten.

What a brave and handsome man. May he be welcomed into the gates of heaven. God bless his family, and his parents.

May those who did this awful deed get exactly what they deserve.

May his family and loved ones be comforted by knowing that he died for a just and noble cause and may he find comfort in the loving arms of the Lord.

What the Italians need to do is produce a muslin death video.

How? Glad you asked.

Step one: Go round up a dozen or more of the types that kidnapped and killed your guy.

Step two: Build a gallows

Step three: Go round up a bunch of hogs.

Step four: Dig a deep pit.

Step five: Kill and gut half the hogs, position them over the hole and bleed them out good in the hole. Then gut the hogs letting their guts go into the hole and drop the hog's carcass into the hole.

Step six: one by one hang all but one pf the guys you rounded up. As one bad guy is cut down ,make sure the others waiting in line see you dump this guy in the hole filled with hog blood, guts, and carcasses. Keeping the video cameras running.

Step seven: Take the last guy, soak him in hog blood and dump the hog's guts over his head then turn him loose to go back and tell his budies that is what is going to happen to them if any more of your guys get so much as a dirty look from them.

That will stop it, anything else and the only person you are kidding is yourself.

If I could face certain death and be half as brave, I'd be satisfied...

This man was a hero. He knew he was going to die, and he refused to give the cowardly scum the satisfaction of seeing him afraid.

I hope this story goes around the world tonight. I hope millions hear about this before the media starts questioning this man's final act. How long will it be before ACT UP will "release" the news that he was gay? How long before ABCNBCCBS AnAlThatJazz begin the denials -- "He wasn't brave! That's an urban myth!" By the time the media is through with him, he will have become a transsexual abortion doctor who worshipped Kali.

Sorry to be so cynical. I hope this doesn't happen. I'll be disappointed if it does -- but not surprised.

Some how I don't believe Fabrizio Quattrocchi would agree with you.
I think it would be a dishonor to that very brave man to do this.
He would most likely settle for a firing squad or public hanging.

Made me cry. Showed me that despite my rabid Patriotism for our country, I value patriotism in any nationality -- patriots who are brave and fearless -- and who stand for what is right and good in this world. Obviously, this innocent Italian believed in these things.

God bless his family, friends, and let his spilled blood be the transcendent blood of all true martyrs...
