As I, and others, have made quite crystal clear on this forum:
If President Bush betrays us by signing an extension of the ugly-gun ban, or any other new gun control, he WILL lose our votes in November.
Guaranteed.

Foolish response considering the implications to gun owners and the WOT. But I realize I'm probably talking to myself.

First off I doubt Bush will sign an extension of the AWB, as I doubt it will come up for any further votes this legislative season. Secondly a vote against Bush like it or not is a vote for John Kerry and it is a sure thing that Kerry will attack the Second ammendment and make the current AWB look like a slap on the hand. Kerry and the Dems will use gun control as an issue to tie in with counter terrorism and homeland security.
