No no no... Kerry said "We shouldn't transfer political power to the UN" before saying, "We need a real transfer of political power to the UN," the Massachusetts senator said.

Hillary to the green room please.

Hey F'in

Maybe he has a "specific plan" but prefers not to share it with known traitors.

Now, now, don't go injecting facts into the Dem positions. It makes them rant and rave and call you a Republican Attack Dog. Besides, the UN is the perfect choice for the Dems - the UN has already failed, and the response to failure for the Dems is to do more of what has already failed, in the hope that if you do enough of it, it will finally succeed (otherwise known as "folly", but we don't want to nit-pick).

When is the press going to ask Kerry if he has anything to say except to criticize GWB? All I've heard him say is that he'll inundate America with jobs, prosperity and peace. The press seems willing, at least so far, to accept that as the Kerry platform.

Psst! John.
Just because you weren't invited to the meeting doesn't mean they didn't have one. Really.

Kerry has been stubbornly trying to paint Bush as "stubborn" for the last month and a half.

It ain't working. ;)

This is same old technique the Dems have always used. Yesterday ABCNEWS had a story that Kerry did not seem have a plan for Iraq, as he has never outlined a plan if he becomes President. Of course rather than counter the charge, Kerry accuses the President of exactly what the media was accusing him of. Also Kerry's idea about getting the U.N. involved clearly shows Kerry hasn't a clue. Just today Kofi Anan said Iraq is too dangerous for a U.N. presence.

Kerry hasn't offered any details on any of his 'plans' about anything.

"I have a plan, but GW Bush is bad..."

The only thing for sure is that Kerry would give our sovereignty over to the UN and he would hope NATO would take over our national security.

Kerry exemplifies follow-ship (UN and EURO), not leadership.

Hey, John, If you need leadership help from the UN and NATO, why do you want to be President? The President is a leader; he can afford to be a follower.

Kerry said "We shouldn't transfer political power to the UN" before saying, "We need a real transfer of political power to the UN," the Massachusetts senator said.

Flashback! Excerpt from Kerry on CrossFire in 1997 (Kerry RIPS into France, et al)

SEN. JOHN KERRY, (D), MASSACHUSETTS, FOREIGN RELATIONS COMMITTEE: Well, John, you're correct that this resolution is less than we would have liked. I don't think anybody can deny that we would have liked it to have threatened force and we would have liked it to carry the term serious consequences will flow. On the other hand, the coalition is together. I mean the fact is there is a unanimous statement by the security council and the United Nations that there has to be immediate, unrestricted, unconditional access to the sites. That's very strong language. And it also references the underlying resolution on which the use of force is based. So clearly the allies may not like it, and I think that's our great concern -- where's the backbone of Russia, where's the backbone of France, where are they in expressing their condemnation of such clearly illegal activity, but in a sense, they're now climbing into a box and they will have enormous difficulty not following up on this if there is not compliance by Iraq.

[snip]

KERRY: Well, John, there's absolutely no statement that they have made or that they will make that will prevent the United States of America and this president or any president from acting in what they believe are the best interests of our country. And obviously it's disappointing. It was disappointing a month ago not to have the French and the Russians understanding that they shouldn't give any signals of weakening on the sanctions and I think those signals would have helped bring about this crisis because they permitted Saddam Hussein to interpret that maybe the moment was right for him to make this challenge.

[snip]

KERRY: On the contrary. The administration is leading. The administration is making it clear that they don't believe that they even need the U.N. Security Council to sign off on a material breach because the finding of material breach was made by Mr. Butler. So furthermore, I think the United States has always reserved the right and will reserve the right to act in its best interests. And clearly it is not just our best interests, it is in the best interests of the world to make it clear to Saddam Hussein that he's not going to get away with a breach of the '91 agreement that he's got to live up to, which is allowing inspections and dismantling his weapons and allowing us to know that he has dismantled his weapons. That's the price he pays for invading Kuwait and starting a war.

[snip]

KERRY: Correct, absolutely correct, and I believe, and they stood with us today and I am saying to you that it is my judgment that by standing with us today and calling for the unrestricted, unconditional, unlimited, you know, access, they have now taken a stand that they are duty bound to enforce and if Saddam Hussein doesn't do that, the president, I think, has begun a process which you remember very well, John, was not done in one week, in one day, in one month. It took months to weave together the fabric to lead up to an understanding of what was at stake. I am convinced that many people have not yet even focused in full measure on what is at stake.

Of course all of this was back in 1997 and the administration he was arguing on behalf of was Clinton's.

The UN does not necessarily have America's best interests at heart and a transfer of power in Iraq to the UN is not the solution.

Looks like Bush has a good plan to me. We kill the enemy, not arrest them.

Hanoi John's plan is to kiss Kofi's rearend and that of the insurgents. His plan mirrors the French: Run, Hide, Surrender, Collaborate.

The Rat's plan is to focus attention on anyone but Kerry. They know that he is a loser.

Blessings, Bobo

"Unfortunately, he offered no specific plan whatsoever."

First off, forgive me if I get any dates wrong, or if I have missed anything, but it seems to me that stating that:

1. Sovereignty will be transferred on June 30 on schedule,
2. a Constitution is being worked on,
3. elections will be held next fall,
4. power transferred to elected gov't in 2005,
5. US will stay "as long as needed, but not one day more" to maintain security, and
6. the Iraqis must take more responsibility for their security.

these six major items sound like the outline of a plan to me.

Hi, Please take a moment and either call the President or send an email to let him know we, the American people back him. Also, if you could just tell one person to do the same and ask them to tell another, than God willing, we will flood the switchboard with calls and faxes like they have never seem. This is one way we can take it direct to the President and it can not be misled by the media or stupid polls.....
Please call or email and God bless:
