How Specter responds will be critical, lest I decide to switch my support. I'm willing to tolerate anything if my President will tolerate it, but I cannot fathom the senior Senator from my homestate taking support from a slime like Soros.

The President will honor his pledge to Specter, but he should ALSO agree to appear for Toomey.

Well, I live in NYS, so I don't have a dog in that hunt. But we've been bombarded with Specter's commercials up here (we're near the PA border), and I find his ads incredibly SLEAZY.

We should push the issue. Anyone have Specter's contact info handy? Please post ASAP. If not, I'll look for it in a bit.

Specter takes money from the RINO group the "Main Street Fund."
As National Review states, "The second-largest single donor to the Main Street Individual Fund, according to most recent information on Opensecrets.org, is George Soros. Yes, that George Soros, the one who compared the Bush administration to Nazi and Communist regimes, who has compared the Bush administration to George Orwell's 1984, called Bush's policies "Social Darwinist," who called defeating Bush in 2004 "the central focus of my life," and who donated $15.5 million to groups aiming to defeat Bush."
Soros was the SECOND largest donor to MSIF: number one is Dinakar Singh, managin director of Goldman-Sachs, a guy who gives even more money to Dimocrats!
