I don't know when the next hearing is. I'd be happy if the rest of it was conducted in private. I think this public witch hunt is damaging to our country and our troops. Last night I heard a talking head (Alan Colmes I believe) say how pubs have been pointing the finger at Klinton. Pot.Kettle.Black. Even worse because of the nonsensical hatred that the libs have for Pres Bush. I never hated any president (or anyone) the way they hate GW. Their minds are so clouded with hatred they aren't thinking at all. That has to be how JFnKerry is their "presumptive" nominee.

Just "connecting" the dots.

"everyone in Washington DC was out of town the month of August 2001" during that summer of so many warnings. He says this goes on every August, and how that practice has to stop.
Per Clarke's own testimony, HE put his staff on high alert for 6 weeks during the summer of 2001. Nothing happened. HE took his staff off high alert. (He didn't specify the exact time period.) So, it would see that, if Clarke wants to be the terrorism Czar and the only one 'on duty' then he is also responsible because he took his team off high alert shortly before 9-11-01.

I couldn't remember who cited Plame. Glad you see the latest.
Did you hear Ben Veniste refer to the writer of the PDB as "she", too? I think I am correct because another freeper heard him and thought he was referring to Gorelick and her memo--so I guess I did hear him correctly and he did repeatedly say "she wrote" when talking about the PDB.
Very curious he would do that and I have to wonder why he did that.

He said that the President was relying too heavily on Gen. Abizaid's assessment and that it was the Presidents job to make the determination to send more troops to Iraq.
Kristol has been whining about troop numbers for quite a while. My reference was a comparison to LBJ's meddling in VietNam and not letting the professionals in the military run things.

I live in NJ. The WTC was a part of our lives. My husband took the PATH to the WTC every day for years.
We heard the jets overflying our home for many weeks after the attack.
A young college mate of my daughter's died in the Tower.
We know exactly who to blame for the attack, and it isn't President Bush.
Toricelli exploited Lisa Beamer, to her detriment, and now the Commission is exploiting the widows for their own personal gain.
IMHO, the Lord is not amused at this travesty.

Since the PDBs are classified, I assume their author's identities are also classified. And the wording from yesterday's hearings was that the PDB was written by an "operative." Therefore, it is illegal to reveal her identity as a CIA employee.

Tenet said if he'd "had his hair on fire" he would have placed a call. But wait......I thought Richard Clarke said that Tenet "was running around with his hair on fire" insinuating that something WAS going on and Tenet couldn't get through to Bush.

Tenet said that the Agency needed reform but it would have to be done by an outside commission, which he mentioned, as an aside, that he would be willing to serve on once he retired. As someone who was Federal bureaucrat for over 36 years, I understand how the bureaucracy works and the modus operandi of the creatures who inhabit it. Tenet fits the description of those who are responsible for everything but accountable for nothing.

I thought the Summer of Shark Attacks eventually became the Summer of Chandra, but I could be getting my summers mixed up at this point.
Maybe those were 2 separate summers.

I am not watching the hearings. I have been reading these posts because I cannot stand to look at nor listen to BV. I might break down and watch the replay later to find out if he said what you think he said. But you aren't the only one, so . . . .
