It makes me sick the way the portray the President, but fail to mention slick was way too distracted to meet with his cabinet.

Thompson up and right off goes to August PDB and says it often is referenced in a limited way and he'll read the entire passage to make the context clear.
He is doing so now.

There are so many things that have been "put to bed," starting with that "the guy who only wanted to learn to take off, not land." That was a lie, too, according to yesterday.

And the media always fails to mention that every year the entire Congress is on vacation for the whole month of August.

Do you notice that they reference EVERYTHING with Clarke's testimony, as if it was brought down from a mountain by Moses?

My immediate thought on that day was that Saddam had hired someone to hit us here.
I am not yet convinced he didn't...

Freepers said Al Queda before the 2nd plane even hit if I am correct I believe "catspaw" posted "Osama Bin Laden" 4 min 4 sec after the posting of the thread indicating the impact of the second plane.

That is what I thought. I was cleaning and listening and thought...oh, now it's Bush's fault because he was in Texas. These people are beyond disgusting. Yep, that'll be the headline that comes out of Tenet's testimony today...

I believe we will find out FOR SURE (like we don't already know) that Saddam and bin Laden worked together.
To: tractorman
To me, they are nitpicking out of context remarks and will weave them all together to make it look like Bush saw that PDB and went back to chopping wood.
Just like Dick Clarke: he evidently believes that if HE wasn't in a meeting, it didn't take place.
Remember yesterday, Cofer Black even said Clarke wasn't in those meetings and ended with "I don't know why George Tenet didn't want him in those meetings." (I think it was Tenet.)

They are OBSESSED with Bush being in Texas; they act like he was completely out of context. It's not as if ANYONE ELSE was even in DC the entire month of August either. Everyone goes on vacation then.
And the President is never really away from the job. The job goes wherever he goes.
Roemer knows that, but it's a good chance for him to get another slur in.
To: Howlin
Definitely.
And the conspiracy theory that Ashcroft wouldn't fly in a commercial plane pre 9/11.

Wasn't all of congress out of Washington at the same time that August 01? Why would the president stay in DC if the congress was gone?

Do you notice that they reference EVERYTHING with Clarke's testimony, as if it was brought down from a mountain by Moses? Yesterday Rush said something to the effect that they should replace the Bible used for "swearing", and use Clarke's book!
