According to a 1993 Gallup poll, 47% of the American public adopted the creationist view that humans were created by God. Another 35% were theistic evolutionists, and only 11% believe the universe has evolved naturally. You're assuming it's either/or- somebody can believe that God created us, but also agree that the TOE is correct. I certainly do, as does the Pope.
