What you're seeing is the fireworks finale to the whole day! The Air Show, which usually features B-1, F-117, Harriers, Tornados, and other allied aircraft, kicks off at 3PM EDT.
And the weather is supposed to be fantastic - sunny and in the 70's. And I'm home to see it, and not on Drill status! HOOAH!
