NBC: Aschcroft Testimony - A Calculated Strategy To Take Heat Off Bush

According to NBC News Staffer, Bob Kur, reporting on the Ashcroft testimony before the 9/11 Hearings this afternoon, "Ashcroft's" testimony was the workout of a strategy to take the heat off "Bush's" failings.

Kur reported that Ascroft tried as hard as he could to cover up the failings of the Bush Administration and to put the blame on the previous administration.

No mention was made of Ashcroft's seemingly genuine anger and consternation at the Wall of Separation between FBI and CIA - a wall that Ashcroft noted was re-inforced as late as 1995 under Janet Reno. Kur's report emphasized that Ashcroft worked long and hard to defuse the most explosive charges made against the Bush Administration.

A follow up question from Lester Holt to former Attorney General Dick Thornburgh centered on Ashcroft's testimony as "trying to re-sell the Patriot Act". Thornburgh said he didn't believe so.

Rather than report the facts and the news in a straightforward way, our left media continuously editorialize and interpret for viewers. They put forward instead, what they see as the "true meaning" behind the reality - when thwey don't like that reality. And of course, what they don't like is anything that disagrees with the liberal-left viewpoint.

This filtering of reality - filtering of the facts has been going on for quite some time now. And this technique is used in combination with continuous stripping and laying bare of Republican "strategems" which, of course, sound manipulative and underhanded, while, it needs be noted, giving virtual no notice to such calculating tactics of the Democrats.

Take notice of this technique. And report it.
