For "MY" employment problems? I didn't have a *problem* till his policy made it ok for 50 cent a day labor in China and 1/3 my wage rate in Mexico to compete with me and be called "fair". Know what a leveraged desk that earns top marks consistantly and never fails or falls down on the job is? We all got a break when Delphi split their support desk from GM's. I've had two good raises in 4 years to get to 30k after entering the position at the bottom of entry level rate and didn't pursue either of them - they were given to me from recognition of my work.

Delphi was so happy with our work they wouldn't consider getting rid of us because of how important we were to their operations until they found that they could get people to do it in another country for a third of my rate and no benefits and no constitutional protections. Ya'll shout supply and demand in defense of profits; but, when it comes to working in this country, you can't live with supply and demand in our market and want to run and get a new set of rules. One standard for ya'll and another for us.

Do I blame this president - sure do - it's his policy that did it. The bottom feeders that are running off to profit from the new slave labor are just reacting to what his policy allows. He's responsible. He can wear it. I'm putting the responsibility for it squarely and directly where it belongs. It makes all the sense in the world, unless you're trying to make excuses and duck. I have a lot of personal respect for the man. I've been one of his biggest cheerleaders and don't regret it for when it was done. This is beyond the pale. And to be consistent, instead of a hypocrit, blame goes where blame is due.

Can you tell me what specific legislation or policy that Bush created, that didn't exist before he took office, that allows you to blame Bush?

What policies did Bush enact that caused your job loss? NAFTA and other free trade agreements were signed in the early/mid 90s. I don't think there was anything new in that area in the last three years, other than the one again-off again steel tariffs.

Reminds me of the ZOT last week of some newbie complaining they lost their job, and decided that was the reason to vote for Kerry.

Sorry, it isn't the President's fault that you are out of work. Do you want to know who is at fault for that? Got a mirror handy?

I'm sorry, but it is my opinion that the LABOR UNIONS have priced labor so far above reason that companies must do what they can to stay afloat. If that means shipping jobs to where people are happy to work at all, then so be it.

Also, didn't you say your illness was emphysema? How did you get that? Do/Did you smoke?

Right. So according to you Bush should have ordered Govt control of American companies dictating where they can or cannot hire people in the world, and furthermore dictate to American people that they must pay higher prices for goods to support people like you who feel God has entitled them to the jobs they want at the salary they demand.

Welcome to the REAL world.

A President cannot be blamed personally for your job loss. That's silly and you know it. The mightiest economic machine in world history is doing what it's done in the past: Shedding jobs that can be done more efficiently and with less cost overseas. That is a win -win situation for all. Just as 90% of the economy was agriculturally based 100 uears ago and moved to an industrial model over the 30-40 years after, so will this change be productive and positive for the nation's economic future. As for your jobless frustration, start looking for another job while retraining for something better than the job you had. That is what millions do and what will lead to a better future. Don't just sit there flustered and moping and getting involved in blame games like the Dems...get going!
