I just spoke with the Publisher of the newspaper:

He says that the newspaper will be issuing an apology in the next issue. And that the St. Pete Dems will be apologizing as well.

I told him that the ad was irresponsible. And I reminded him that a mentally ill person tried to kill President Reagan over a movie star. I said that in he future the paper should show more responsibility in taking ads.

I told him the Ad 'reeked with hatred' and that I didn't think it would win the Dems any votes. He said he tended to agree.

I sent an email saying that I was appalled and that his paper and the group placing the ad should be prosecuted for sedition. That they should all apologize, at the very least.

Thanks for posting your call with the idiot "editor". An apology simply isn't enough. An investigation by the state officials is warranted.

And the Kerry campaign should be FORCED to explain the situation and denounce it with full follow-up on all their forthcoming ads and appearances.

I just called to ask if I could place an ad to sell a gun. They said they don't take ads for guns. I mentioned what a bunch of hypocrites they were for placing the ad to take out Rumsfeld.
