In the interests of justice, I offer the following as merely the underpinnings of a comprehensive response to this hateful, horrendous ad:

• The Gabber will immediately print a full-page, front-page retraction and apology to Secretary Rumsfeld from Ken Steinke and Edna McCall. The retraction will also contain Steinke and McCall's letters of resignation from the St. Petersburg Democratic Club. Steinke and McCall will equally share in the cost of this front-page retraction and apology.

• Steinke and McCall will plead guilty to any charges brought by the Pinellas Co. Attorney and/or the Federal District Attorney.

• The full-page, front-page retraction will also contain a letter of apology to Sec. Rumsfeld from Bob Poe, chairman of the Florida Democratic Party, as well as a written revocation of the St. Petersburg Democratic Club charter.

• The full-page, front-page retraction will also contain a letter of apology to Sec. Rumsfeld from The Gabber's editors/publishers Debbie and Ken Reichart.

• All apologies and retractions will be made available to national media resources.

Additional ideas welcome.

Oh yes, I angry, and I have been in a state of total rage since I read this at the lab, but I've had a hard 12 hour day and I've settled down some. Thank God, my patient's needs calmed me down.

Now is the time to vent, but logically, so here it goes. The out and out threat of a Cabinet official is sedition and it should be treated that way. This party is getting waaaaay out of control. This is not the way we do things in the United States. First, it is illegal to call for the assassination of a government official in a news publication. This has already been done once on a public television broadcast against the president, this should be no different.

Look at all the things, small things, that have caused monumental disasters in this country. The attempted assassination of Reagan by a man obsessed by a movie star, the attack on the federal building by a wing nut that listened to talk radio (just arguing from their own pulpit), an American citizen, defected to the Soviet Union then returned to the United States, assassinating the President of the United States in Dallas Texas. All, fed by propaganda. Well, this is political propaganda and it is inflammatory.

I thought it would have been kind of fun to watch the left unravel and do the nutzo dance during this election cycle, but it's getting dangerous. This crap has got to be put back in the toilet from which it came. I'm starting to realize now, these people want a war. They forget one important thing (as liberals often do).....WE HAVE THE GUNS! As my 9 year old granddaughter would say.."Well...DUH granddaddy"!

You should call and find out the specifics for the location. Many cities and towns require a permit. Some don't, but it is a good idea to find out ahead of time.

Believe me, I know.  Got a sibling in the family on the left-coast who I know hangs out at the sewer...  You know you are having a good day when you get a piece of hate email (conservative point of view) from the sewer and it turns out to be your own post from FReepville like an example I saw earlier on this thread.
