The camera just panned to lots of empty seats - perhaps "the Families" are not there today, having been told that the commission is going to go easy on Reno and Freeh. Any clapping would probably have been from 'partisan' Republicans.

When the RAT commissioners start fawning over Reno, thanking her profusely for her service, I may have to step out of the room. TV is too new to throw something at it.
We shall see if the questions to Reno are as crafted and attempts to ensnare as they were for Condi.

Philip Zelikow confirming what everyone here has known.....Clinton's hamstringing of FBI and other intelligence agencies (in the '90's) by treating investigations ultimately as criminal cases, made it next to impossible to share information critical to preventing an terrorist attacks........Freeh on NOW!

Sorry Peach, I didn't mean to imply Fox was covering it. It was a report on the commission that I heard just a little while ago.

Freeh: Condolences to families and prayers for them. Hopes Commission can recommend steps to improve our security.
IMO, far different than the grandstanding "we failed you" Clarke apology.
To: cyncooper
cyncooper - great news about the closing. Have a good move after that.

I see that the professional victims' are present in the tird row. Maybe the Kerry handlers said not to be so d*** obnoxious while sitting there, 'cause it's bad for their poll numbers.
