Freeh said something about the House gutting significant portions of that bill with an amendment. And then got in a jab about certain members on the Committee approving that. If I understood that correctly. That line of questioning was dropped like a hot rock. As was was what happened to the Gore Commission's recommendations.

It was Ron Brownstein in the LA Times yesterday reporting on the focus group in Florida. FOUND IT .. Thanks Tex
Public Gives Bush a Long Leash on 9/11
(snip)
That widespread belief has two major implications for the 2004 campaign. First, it means that based on the information available so far, most Americans recoil from efforts to blame Bush for the attacks. One leading Democratic interest group recently asked a focus group in Florida to respond to a potential television ad accusing Bush of negligence in failing to stop the attacks. The result was volcanic against the ad.
"They were so angry I thought they were going to turn the tables over," said a Democratic operative who watched the session. "It was a very polarizing ad, and it pushed people who were on the fence decidedly away from us."

Then how can he go TV and say that he was at all those meetings during the Clinton administration and take the Bush administration to task for meetings "like we had"???

When Freeh promoted the ba$tard who gave the SHOOT TO KILL order at Ruby Ridge, I hated him from that moment on and nothing he ever did could redeem himself in my eyes.
Eventually he had to rescind the promotion and the man left the FBI. I believe he went to work for Terry Lenzner.

Hope Leman asks Reno about an OKC-AQ connection. If she pleads ignorance, too, that would be a howler.

So far, it sounds to me that all she did was have meetings.
