Along with Hamilton, Democrats have named Senator Max Cleland of Georgia, Representative Tim Roemer of Indiana, former Watergate prosecutor Richard Ben-Veniste and former Justice and Defense Department official Jamie Gorelick.
(Bush nominated Cleland for the Import Export Bank and Cleland took the job.)
And guess who was suppose to nominate ours? Trent Lott.......UGH.

"Our side" means the dems that produced the commercial. Brit said that the independents in the crowd drove the people to Bush's side.

When someone on here called the commission this morning to complain about Gorelick, whoever answered the phone said for them to call the White House as they appointed her; they did not.
From posts last week and cablenews reports, the Dems on the Committee were either appointed or approved by Tom Daschle. [I've never heard who appointed the 'across the aisle' people.] Is this a Senate or House or Joint Commission?

So, Gorelick recuses because of conflict regarding Clinton appointments...that same conflict doesn't apply to Bush appointments to the SAME POSITIONS?! She has MORE conflict with the Bush appointments, when one considers her motivation to protect herself from scrutiny.

I referenced it above.

Yes. She never worked with Ashcroft and so can question him without conflict of interest problems.

Why does no one mention Tom Clancy's book that had plane crash into the Capitol?

When someone on here called the commission this morning to complain about Gorelick, whoever answered the phone said for them to call the White House as they appointed her; they did not.She was selected by none other, then the esteemed Sen. Thomas Daschle. No politics here no siree.! <sarcasm

I just send this to the commission
To whom it may concern.
I hereby request that Monsoor Ijaz be allowed to testify in public instead behind closed doors. I believe it is very important for the people to hear what he has to say
Sincerely

Gorelick has no business being involved in this "commission". It shows what a farce this is. She should be on the other side of the table. In front of this band of political hacks.

Thanks, for the link.
I am the one who was told that the White House appointed the commissioners. I was looking for that to call her back.

Is this a Senate or House or Joint Commission? I believe so .. but the 9/11 Commission claims they don't have to answer to Congress

I don't get it. Why can't they just let her grandstand like everyone else for 15 minutes. She might not have gotten to her question anyway.
