Oh, she is off. This is her last day. Either that, or the entire panel runs the risk of becoming an unserious side show. The conflict of interest is staggering. She is gone.

His "concern" about the RICO act (in the discussion about the Patriot Act) being used against Pro life groups is a ploy and another despicable Democratic trick.
He has always voted 100% anti Life.

She is trying to make him look incompetent. I sure hope he gets the opening to question her about her memo. She should recuse herself, first and resign secondly.
Ironic isn't it that she is allowed to recuse herself with Reno, though her policies continued with Ashcroft. Another reason she has to be placed in the witness chair.

I had to leave about the time Ashcroft mentioned someone on the commission authored the report to further separate the CIA and FBI. Who wrote it? And did anything exciting happen in the last hour?

Clinton spent more money fighting Bill Gates and Microsoft (IT)then he put into national defense!

Maybe if we all threaten to hold our breath until she gets the boot?

She lost!
He is done!
Who is up tomorrow??????
To: Pukin Dog
NRO is speculating there will be some sort of "backlash" to Ashcroft declassifying the memo...I dunno, I think this was just too, too big, it has to bode poorly for Gorelick and the commission, not Ashcroft.
To: cyncooper
Yup. I don't really think she was the author either. I did not read the WP story that everybody is talking about. But Milbank is chummy with the Wilsons. He's probably chummy with other operatives. Isn't that the way things work inside the Beltway????????
To: BlessedByLiberty
That's it?
To: cyncooper
My husband, who is not particularly political, says they are afraid of Ashcroft and never laid a glove on him.

Gorelick is trying to repair her damaged reputation by tying a version of the August PDB into items Ashcroft was aware of under another name.
It is becoming an article of faith with the Democrat koolaid crowd that the August PDB listed the flight numbers and which flight attendants were to have their throats cut and the ancillary assertion that neglect in reading that PDB allowed the prevention of 9/11.
Are they so stupid to think that people won't read the original?
Gorelick scores her baseless "point" for political purposes and Ashcroft ends his testimony with few left standing on the jousting field.
