Leave it to cnn to twist things to fit their agenda.

I'm boycotting msnbc as well. Finished with sometimes turning on Chrissie to see what he's bloviating about. But I'm off that for good now.

ah.

So that's why we don't get a name - it's a CIA operative who prepares the PDB.

Very interesting indeed.

Kerrey up. Says he gets angrier and angrier and lists names leading up to Dr. Rice!

The man is off his nut.

I know Tenet gets a lot of criticism, but I have posted since last summer that I think he's a better guy than he's given credit. I think I see why President Bush has kept him.

I don't care what party some come from .. The Country Comes FIRST!

Tenent seems to put Country First

The point that the FBI was then restricted to investigating CRIMES, not threats. This goes back to 1947, when Congress first created the CIA, and deliberately separated the CIA from the FBI. There were good reasons for this separation when made -- we did not want to create an American "gestapo" that could go anywhere, and do anything, within the US.

The American press has been very slow to pick up on this story -- one AP article, and one major newspaper article that I know of. I discussed this exact point on air with Jerry Agar, last week.

For those interested in the bias of certain Commission members, and the intent to score partisan points, see my article posted earlier today, "Ben-Veniste Attacks Dr. Rice's Testimony." The subtitle is "Using Truth to Tell a Lie."

Kerrey should lodge his complaints about treating terrorism as a law enforcement, rather than a military problem, with his fellow Commissioner, Jamie Gorelick!

The courthouse of the Southern District of NY in Manhattan is within a few blocks (I've seen it as two blocks, but I've never been there) of the WTC. Two days after 9/11, at least one, perhaps two, of the bombers/conspirators of the bombings of our embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were to be sentenced.

One of the very eerie parts of that PDB was that, after I had said on the morning on 9/11 that it was Osama bin Laden, one of the reasons I had named OBL was that I thought it was a jailbreak.

Yes--the press+dems as they carry the latter's water.

Disgraceful and sickening.

Listen to Kerrey--saying "damn" and "how in God's name". Was he not in Congress during some of these years?

He's another ass.

"Kerrey up. Says he gets angrier and angrier and lists names leading up to Dr. Rice!"

I hate to play the race card, but I wonder if there is a racial animus towards Rice on the part of Kerrey. Getting her name wrong repeatedly showed total disrespect, and now here he is bringing her up again. As for Iraq, the chairman should disallow any questions pertaining to Iraq. This inquiry is about events leading to 9-11, not Iraq, and the chairman needs to remind Kerrey of that.

Oh Gawd, Gorilla-lick tries to start out by saying she hopes her questions won't look like blaming..

Frankly, she's so damn glad to be able to utter a word today on camera, I'm surprised she isn't giggling.

Kerrey is grand standing just like Clarke did.

If I was in charge we would have been on a War footing...

RenoGorelick up now.

I think you're right, prairie.

She's more heavily made up for the cameras today.

And Roemer has left the room. This is their darned important job and they can't even bother to listen to ALL the testimony. Sheesh

I must be the only freeper who thinks Black is a smarmy bureaucrat.

More money more money.

The millennium plot was forestalled by a lucky break. All the money spent got them nothing at all. An alert customs agent on the border became suspicious.

The various agencies had clues they just were not able to connect the dots. All the money in the world was NOT going to change tht fact.

Even now, there are those who would cancel the Patriot Act and are decrying our supposed loss of freedoms. No matter over three thousand lost their lives....we must be politically correct.

All this is making me ill.

He's a long shot, but if he garners enough tv time and name recognition, Roemer may think he has a shot to be Kerry's VP choice.
