The President and his family spent Easter Sunday at the Chapel at Fort Hood and then visited soldiers at the Darnell Community Hospital.
President Bush held a joint press conference with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, at his ranch Monday, April 12, 2004 in Crawford, Texas, discussing Sharon's plans for the Gaza Strip, among other subjects.
The President left for the Waco airport shortly after the completion of the press conference, and flew home to the White House.
The President announced that he will hold a press conference in the White House, Tuesday night, at 8:20 PM EDT.

President Bush needs ol' Barney as never before. Harry Truman said if a man wants to have a friend in Washington, he better get a dog. =)

***But in the past 3 weeks, I've gotten calls from 5 companies looking to hire me, no matter how out of date my clearances are, because of the systems I have worked on and because my knowledge of them is needed in "Rummy's transformation of this Military world"!!! ***
Yeah! Good for you! Told you--God is just teaching you patience. :-)

I keep hearing about Kerry and his "Misery Index" and how they had one years ago--anyone know anything about it? (I'm taking my news in very small pieces so as not to burst an aneurysm!) Brit Humes talked about it tonight on his show .. it's some index that Carter started when he first ran for President and that Kerry has changed to his liking
Go to where is says "Campaign Carl"
This one is a report from Major Garrett
Go to where it says "Kerry's Misery Index"

Good advice about avoiding the media. Will try to take it.
With all the entities on the left that you mention, it's a wonder any conservative gets elected.
But two things make me optimistic.
Bush was elected against an incumbent VP when he wasn't that familiar a figure in the country ('cept for Texas)
Kerry is even duller and nastier than algore.

So my question is, is it still possible, thru hard work, loans, grants, etc. to go to a good school on very little money? That depends on what you call a "good school". The Ivy League prices are out of sight. Their educations are far Left. I don't think that is money well spent.
There are plenty of smaller colleges where the prices are much more reasonable, and some of them aren't very Liberal. I actually think that many of them give the students a better education.
The biggest problem these days is that so many high school graduates don't meet basic literacy tests. Our local Community College has far more remedial classes than college level classes. Those kids don't qualify for scholarships or grants anywhere.

**Maybe he thinks "everyday Americans" own business and make over $200,000/year.**
(gasp) You mean they don't? Hey, he's claiming to be an everyday American, right? Don't everyday Americans marry for money?

Well it's clear Mystery wants more grandchildren; guess you'll have to see if Ohio is ready for that yet. :-)
I had friends who had their education handed to them and it was the same thing--didn't really care a whole lot about learning.
P.S. Wait till you have one or two kids to decide how many; I thought I wanted four but after three or four months of morning sickness and then several months of bedrest and meds with bad effects and hospitalization with premature labor . . . I decided two were enough. :-) But don't let that scare you, just wait and see. :-)

I'm so glad the Prez has dear little Barney. I know it helps with the loss of old Spot Fletcher.
I still miss Spot.

On behalf of the birthday-girl, "Mrs. Admiralsn," thank you all for the many wonderful birthday wishes. She had a good, quiet, Easter birthday.

***Doesn't Kerry and his ilk realize that they are targets for terrorists, like everybody else here***
I think that they think that no terrorist would DARE even think of coming after them because, after all, they ARE Kerrys, or Kennedys, or whoever . . .
If the terrorists can't convert us, they want to kill us! That's their mission in life, according to their religion.

Lol, well, my mom had decided when she was my age that she didn't want ANY kids and then she had five! (I still don't know what she was thinking.) My ideal plan was to have one child and adopt two. But, as my life has frequently shown me, life doesn't always work out according to plan. So I'll see what happens.

THANKS for the great pics, truthy....MISERY Index? LOL. The DEMOCRATS DEFINE misery.....it's what they do best....describe every miserable failure in life, and then ask others to pay for it. (Whatever you reward you get more of)... So, that they can continue to HAVE MISERY....they've been doing it for 30 plus years, it seems. They thrive on misery. It's the ONLY way they can survive. I think Kerry's little "Misery Index" will backfire bigtime.....because MOST of America does NOT feel THAT misery....heck we live in a country where the poor have cars, color tv's, more than enough to eat, and a roof over their heads. SHEESH.
