Considering that the United States got its start by throwing off the tyranny of royal rule, I fail to see how Kerry's "blue blood" is any sort of plus...especially considering how royalty is no sure indicator of one's capacity to lead.
To wit (depicted from left to right):
1. French King Louis XVI, who lost his head in the French Revolution.
2. Russian Czar Nicholas II, who lost his country to the Communists.
3. French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, who wound up exiled...twice.

I heard recently that George Bush and Kerry are distantly related.

Oh ... I misread. I initially thought they were referring to blue balls!

AOL had one of their annoying, goofy stories about this. Actually Bush and Powell are related through Longshanks.
Hmm, now that's an ancestor to share.

is all this "royalty" from the "Forbes" side of the family tree, or from the "Kohn" side, which he supposedly didn't even know about?
