Thanks for posting this! A lot of good information here.
All should take note of the vindictiveness of the liberals who run the pseudo-Catholic institutions of higher education.

- Assumption College
- Ave Maria College
- Campion College
- Christendom College
- The College of St. Thomas More
- Franciscan University of Steubenville
- Magdalen College
- Our Lady of Corpus Christi
- Thomas Aquinas College
- Thomas More College of Liberal Arts
- Holy Spirit Institute
- New Catholic University
- Southern Catholic College Excellent list. That's more than I knew of. 12 of 230 "Catholic" colleges are solidly orthodox, a whopping 5%. However tragic this may be, at least Catholic parents can use this list to determine whether they're wasting their money on a CINO college.

"What bothers us," says Monika K. Hellwig, a former professor of theology who is president of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, "is that they think we're not properly Catholic."And they're RIGHT! Most mainstream Catholic colleges have gotten so concerned about being accepted by 'academics' that they've forgotten that most of today's 'academics' are anti-Christian! In order to please them, the Catholic colleges have had to do things which are totally against what the Church teaches! They claim to be doing it in the 'spirit of free inquiry', but they don't have to have this stuff on their campuses. their students can get that crap anywhere! The Catholic campus is supposed to be a respite from that garbage!
Kudos to Ave Maria! I got the letter from Fr. Fessio two years ago talking about the new college and asking for contributions, and I signed up right away. It may not be much, but every little bit helps!

The decisive blow came in 1967 at a meeting of presidents of leading Catholic universities, called by the Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, Notre Dame's president at the time. The "Land O'Lakes statement" they produced, named for the Wisconsin town where they met, declared independence from church control. Non servium.

We had a small all-female Catholic college in our town that was dominated by feminist, attended by many lesbians, and actively undermined the teachings of the Church. The school finally failed financially last year but not before
lightning struck the cross off the top of the main building on campus. Probably not a sign from God but at least it removed the cross from this wretched institution.

Are you trying for future tense, first person singular, indicative mood? If so, try again.

Judging from their mission and who attended, it probably was.
