I went to Catholic school, where we had short, pleated, uniform skirts.

We couldn't wear skirts til 7th grade, they were jumpers til then, and they could be no more than 1 inch above the knees.........I remember many a hem being ripped out by S'ter.......

The boys used to run up behind us and "flip" our skirts, so we wore shorts underneath.

As many years as it has been, I remember that as well!!!!

We had the fingertip rule - which seems really short to me now, but didn't then.

And I remember how I loved Tuesdays, when I wore my Girl Scout uniform - it wasn't flippable!
