Same here. We were only allowed to wear "long legged britches" under our dresses on extremely cold days.

I went to Catholic school, where we had short, pleated, uniform skirts. I always hated leotards, because the crotch was always slipping down to my knees.
The boys used to run up behind us and "flip" our skirts, so we wore shorts underneath.
