You're so right about the photographers and media publishing the most unflattering pictures of the Bush family whenever they can. It's so obvious. Last night the local Waco TV station showed the girls exiting the hospital and the dresses looked fine, though I didn't think Jenna's was particularly flattering. They certainly did not look at all like the pictures posted here. Yes, the beastly cold north wind made all of Texas shiver this Easter.

I think people who have experienced events first hand get a clear understanding of just how biased news coverage can be. I read an AP article about the President's trip to El Dorado Arkansas at ABC News online and read the coverage of a local newspaper. The difference was starkly revealing of national "partisan media" bias. President Bush had been teasing a woman on stage with him at a community college roundtable discussion about using the same hair dye as his mother, or something like that. It was all in good fun and the woman loved every minute of it. The AP reporter commented about President Bush liking to use humor to insult people and that the woman wasn't amused. It was a totally subjective opinion with no basis in fact, or a boldfaced lie...take your pick.

It felt good to me and besides I saved money by not having to run the air conditioner all day and night.

Of course I am in the Houston area, so it was probably not as cold down here as it was up in the Temple area.
