Interesting design of the wagon. I wonder if it was built that way so it could float.

Interesting question. I bet it was - a century ago, they were still crossing streams the old-fashioned way. If a horse could navigate the stream or river with the wagon floating behind it, it was probably a lot more merciful on the undercarriage. And the horse. :-)
