I wonder if some of the black vote would move towards President Bush because of his association with Rice.

If she were named the VP, book a landslide. Since the VP doesn't usually get named until the convention, W has until September. Cheyney's health isn't getting any better, and Haliburton issues go away. Anybody think Kerry has the nads to attack Condi?

My Dem friends resented the way Condi was treated by the Dems on the commission. They recognize and appreciate her intelligence, and believe she was telling the truth and believe "Clarke was trying to sell a book." They are voting for Bush and hoping Condi runs in '08. They are now calling themselves "Independents."
