Condi Rice's Poise Under Fire Ignites Spark of Pride in Women

'Ive already watched her all morning on TV,' said Gael Sandoval, a Royal Oak events planner, who said she admired the way Dr. Rice was holding up under the scrutiny of the September 11th Comission hearing.
For women around the area, the surprising tug of Rice's testimony went largely unspoken and unreported -but you could watch it, see it, feel it.
Women especially wanted to see how a woman-and in particular this very powerful one-would hold up to a barrage of carefully honed questions and international scrutiny.
You could argue that you were watching the most powerful woman in the world.
Whether she would wilt like a pansy in the June heat or stay cool, it was a moment to watch because it would reverberate, perhaps even trickle down, if she failed.
'Her hair was fine,' Salon owner Lola Haley said on the day after, 'But that wasn't what people were talking about..She's just smart. She backed folks up. She didn't waver. We didn't care if she was black, white, or female-she was prepared and came through.'

just hasn't seen the light yet......
He knows he did not legitimately earn his position. Like Anita Hill, he was pushed up the ladder of affirmative political correctness into a position beyond his capability.

And look how it backfired on the Dims.
The liberal press was trying every way they could to spin the arguement, but they couldn't

The silly dimwit I mentioned is Laura Berman. I hope there wasn't any confusion on that.
Thanks for the article.

and with that, the HillaryBeast threw the paper into the fireplace, screeched her evil squawk of death, and threw something heavy at Bill. LOL....get out the testicle lock-box.

Im beginning to think that Shrillary vs. Condi in '08 might not even be a close race.

Laura Ingraham on the radio was playing the clips of Boob Kerry all week..it was very funny

I dont agree with the womans politics, said Yvonne Wells, who showed up at Lolitas to get her nails polished, but she was awesome. Her demeanor, her professionalism. She acted like a tough cookie who was prepared. "Acted," my asset. Condi IS a tough cookie who IS prepared, God bless her!!

She behaved with strenth, and total class. Never once did she whine and play the victim. She took on the white democrat pitbulls on an equal footing.

While I was watching and listening to her I was mentally comparing her to Madeline Albright. It was like comparing a mental gazelle to a mental rhinoceros. And that's not even taking principles into account.

Condi come across as someone that is self-actualized. She knows her stuff and has a command presence when she presents it.
Lets run her for president of the great United States.

LOL. And who do the Dems have? Maxine Waters? Sheila Jackson Lee? Carol Mosley Braun? Cynthia McKinney? Donna Brazile? You'd think that list would tell Dem voters something...

She started out tentatively. It was immediately apparent we were watching a class act. She never allowed volume from the mob to intimidate her. She modulated her volume just the right amount at just the right places to send the message that she would not be run over by the usual socialist enemy tactic of filibustering while delivering a simple 5 word question. Indeed I was surprised she did not say at a few spots, "Was there a question in there somewhere?"
Altogether a professional performance. And only once that I can recall did she say, "I don't know, I will get back to you on that".
Not only is she smarter that the trailer-park-president's wife, but her memory is heads and shoulder better, too!

I was impressed Condi held back on correcting Sen. Boob Kerry even though he called her 'Dr. Clarke' like 5-6 times..

I'm not sure Juan Williams is in over his head. However, at least it is possible to have a civil discussion with him. Contrast his demeanor to Eleanor Clift. Gad, what a shrill harpy who cannot keep her mouth shut long for someone to finish their thought.

I wonder if some of the black vote would move towards President Bush because of his association with Rice. No, because the fundamental truth is that it's not about race. Most blacks are Socialists. That's the pure and simple truth.
