You cannot deal with people like this. I ignore them and refuse to engage, simply telling them that they are entitled to their opinion.

I also would request no more e-mail.

I tend to agree- someone this belligerent cannot be argued with.

If you so choose to reply anyway, the very best policy is just use the TRUTH. IF he cannot accept truth, you can never win anyway.

Agree. Life is so much better when you rid it of people like this. I do not argue with drunks or Socialists; It wastes your time and annoys the pig..ooops mixed metaphore.

Just use filters to killfile that address. We had a "friend" who put my wife on Moveon's mailing list. That individual is "Unpersoned" and no longer exists.

If an explanation is required, we state that we have the unlimited saturation resources of the Media from which to hear their point of view, and do not need to hear echoes.

I would tell him that you don't blindly follow, he does, and tell him not to e-mail his nonsense to yuo anymore, insult him, he deserves it...his post to you poses as a logical argument but in fact it is simply an in your face insult...to be replied to in kind...

Actually I emailed him first, slamming the newsweek tax article. He's said some things though that can be rebutted. He's an attorney, and even if he "appears" to be beyond reach, he actually takes what I say to him and it makes a difference even if he doesn't admit it. He's softened up a bit in recent years. We go to his place in East Texas and he and I will stay up late into the night talking about this stuff. I'd like to win him over to some degree because he's a pretty vocal advocate on the left (as I used to be).
