Well, there we have the exact wording. But here is how CNN will report it:
CNN has learned the PDA specificly says:
"Clandestine, foreign government, and media reports indicate Bin Laden...to conduct terrorist attacks in the U.S...would...World Trade Center..."bring the fighting to America"...Bin Laden told followers he wanted to retaliate in Washington... that Bin Laden was planning to exploit the operative'saccess to the U.S. to mount a terrorist strike. ...and is not deterred by setbacks. Bin Laden associates surveilled our Embassies...AI Qaeda members ...have resided in and traveled to the U.S. for years, and the group apparently maintains asupport structure that could aid attacks...Bin Laden cell in New York...wanted to hijack a U.S. aircraft...FBI information since that time indicates patterns ofsuspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings...including recent surveillance of ...buildings in New York."

The PDB concludes:
The FBI is conducting approximately 70 investigations throughout the U.S. that it considers Bin Laden-related. CIA and the FBI are investigating a call to our embassy in the UAE in May saying that a group or Bin Laden supporters was in the U.S. planning attacks with explosives.

Of course jet fuel is explosive! How could Bush not know?

The leftists will lie about anything and I have no doubt that this is how they will parse it.

I've always equated the scenario like this: "I'm going to hide a marble in a named county in the United States, for a period of one month. Your job is to find the marble." Can you even imagine how difficult that would be, no matter how many resources you had?

Here we have an unspecified attack, at an unspecified time, against the expanse of "U.S. interests" worldwide, exponentially more difficult than my marble scenario.

How anyone could expect anything to be done directly to prevent it, is beyond me.

Sorry...I couldn't resist checking out "their" website! I think all of this was coming from what they were watching on CNN:

"Al Hunt first He thought it was bad. He said it wasn't exactly a "historical document" as Rice tried to imply in the hearings.

Novak went next - he pooh poohed it.

Charles Rangle wanted to know why warnings weren't given.

Kate O Brien says it is exhibit A on how political this committee is. Thinks Dems will be hurt, as they never expected it to be released. Public will see that it has been grossly exaggerated."

"The PDB redactions = drip, drip, drip Please, everyone, don't worry about the redactions - they will soon leak, and we will all know the contents.

For those of us old enough to remember, this pattern is so eerily similar to Watergate that it makes ones head spin. With each passing day, another piece will find its way to the puzzle. Nixon, Mitchell et al. tried as hard as this current bunch of thieves to thwart the truth, but were unsuccessful. That same pattern will hold here.

The redactions are the beginnings of Nixon's 18 1/2 gap - Condi is Haldeman- falling on the sword. The picture of DimSon hard at work is Nixon assuring the Silent Majority that the true work of America must go forward.

Our only fear here is that the press will not act as they did back in '73, but with the rise of the Internet, AA, etc. I am gainly more confidence daily.

These bastards are 100 times worse than Nixon, so do not despair. Nixon was brilliant man, and * is a fool. He must speak, and soon. He must answer questions, and soon.

When he does, we win."

Thank goodness for the Internet, FOX, Washington Times, Wall Street Journal and for us on the left coast the Orange County Register and the San Diego Union-Tribune.

This is less even than a recapitulation of history. **Everything** in it is from the previous administration. Not a word dated in the six and a half months of Bush's term. And it's all stuff that could have been culled from newspapers. It's a high school level class report and an insult. If the CIA couldn't give anything more detailed and timely than this, what good is it?

I bet FR had better research on bin laden's moves pre-9/11 than this report. I'm pretty amazed that our intelligence services after 8 years of clinton were utterly useless.

Funny, I don't remember seeing much about how the kenya bombers were US citizens. Wonder why?

The Clinton administration knew all this and refused to act.
Disgraceful, but that is only what we expect from the sorry
excuse for a man.

To me that says it all. Something was being done but it was not enough and because the clintonoids were so asleepzzzzzzzzzzz at the wheel. The investigations were not enough and not SOON enough.

President Bush inherited a mess! And, I am not just talking about the filty trash all over the floor at the White House.

Let's see how long it takes for some DUmmy to declare that this was OBVIOUSLY falsified to downplay the Bush role in 9/11.

One of the frustrating things about DU is how uninformed they are. I know they're ignorant, but for gosh sakes, don't they read ANYTHING anywhere else? Breaking news takes hours to reach them.

I like to go over there and watch the wailing, but it takes them FOREVER to find out what's going on in the world.

There are several important thread out there today that intrepid Freepers culled about what Clark said / or did in actuality about terrorism during the Clinton Administration. These are eye openers and taken in conjunction with the pdb release, highly informative.

In 1999, Richard Clarke cited gains against bin Laden; "We've made life difficult for him"
The Washington Post Archives | January 23, 1999 | Vernon Loeb http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1115213/posts?page=11

and this one: In 2000, Richard Clarke argued against WH based Interagency Coordination Office for Terrorism
The Washington Post Archives | October 9, 2000 | Vernon Loeb
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1115167/posts?page=64#77

Drudge has links to one or two of them.

The Dem's strategy of an incessant stream of unprecedented demands for information ...

Exactly! And wasn't there a leaked RAT memo that said they planned to use the 9/11 Commission exactly this way? The memo got buried under the "outrage" over the leaking of the memo.

It clearly shows what frauds the Dems on the 9/11 Commission are.

Looking at the whole scenario objectively, IMO the whole d@mn investigation is a political charade.

It's simple to deduce what created the whole terrorist attack in the first place.

We had a complacent, self adsorbed sociopath for a POTUS for 8 years that didn't lift a finger to protect our country from terrorist attacks, Dubya became POTUS and 2 hundred and some days after taking office, the 8 years of complacency hit us.

When it hit us, we had a POTUS (thank God) that wasn't going to sit back and tolerate such actions against our nation.

Thus, now Al Quaeda terrorist are on the run, the people of Afghanistan are MUCH better off than ever before, a Tyrant has lost his position as leader of a nation and is behind bars, another leader who supported terrorism in the past has given up his evil ways and opened his country up for inspection and a shot at the free enterprise system, the war on terror has shifted to a location outside our borders, and the "creme de la creme", Tom Dasshole is deeply saddened!

One thing that liberals have never learned; when you are in a hole the first thing you should do is quit digging!

LoL's!

The digging however isn't to make the hole deeper, it's to keep them from being politically buried alive!!

Rope-a-dope city, folks. Matthews, Fineman, and all the stylistic walkers of the Pimp Media were all set to declare this a new "scandal". Now it's open and there's no there there. Ben-Veniste, Gorelick, and the media went through all that for nothing.

What a bunch of ....

...assweasles and f*#ktards.

You can get a better prediction of the 9/11 attack looking at tea leaves.

Absolutely agree. However, during bin Veniste's questioning of Condi, I predicted the headlines at compost/slimes would be "Bush warned of 9/11 plot beforehand--Does nothing". Well, it turns out I was wrong. The headlines were not the next day, but 2 days later.

These people are creating the impression among the inattentive masses that Bush knew beforehand. They know kerry is toast unless the voters vote against Bush on terror and foreign policy--his strongest issues. Understand that fact, and you will understand everything that happens (or actually is reported to have happened) between now and November.

This will be the dirtiest campaign in history.

Now we need Cynthia McKinney and Sheila Jackson Lee to explain to us how this information and the timing of it would have prevented 9/11.(sarcasm/off)

.

Just read the Limbaugh Letter -- FANTASTIC interview with John Podhoretz. I'm posting the clip here -- because like you when Cynthia McKinney first opened her mouth on the "Bush Knew" (actually it was far, far leftwing socialists who began the drumbeat, first) (and yes, I read and tracked all that they were "writing"); I wondered, and continue to wonder. Podhoretz brought up an outstanding point!:

Podhoretz: "If you went back in time and asked, "What was the most important thing that happened domestically in this Presidency?" It probably would have been the $300 tax rebate, which everybody got in August of 2001. Because it pumped $30 billion of liquidity into the economy two or three weeks before September 11th. So there was a spending spree that floated the economy for three months while the country was in shock. Now, he didn't do it because he knew a terrorist attack was coming... God only knows what would have been the case if the tax cut hadn't taken place, simply as a prophylactic measure."

The above hit me like a ton of bricks. Mr. Podhoretz is absolutely right. And what were dems proposing? Let's go back to the Algore "platform" -- it would have KILLED the economy if Algore had gotten elected; and 9-11 then happened. President Bush in doing the right thing, cutting taxes, did the right thing on a MUCH HUGER scale.

I think everyone ought to get the Limbaugh letter, too. :) I've been thinking about how to help Rush in his battle against the Torquemada leviathan.. I thought of sending in money; but I think what might make Rush even happier is seeing more and more people subscribing to the Limbaugh Letter, or 24/7. (Sorry my rant is so long.. but that Podhoretz point.. just makes so much more of what the Looney Left is on about, pre-9/11 and post 9/11, apparent. IMHO, of course.

Liberal rant should have by now morphed from: "Bush Cheated".. to "Bush Knew".. to .. "Bush is SCARY". Um, that's right.. that's exactly where they are right now: Bush is Scary. Ergo, he is "evil". Tax cuts are always right; so is balancing the budget. But as Rushbo would say: Libs are never happy unless they are forcing control over others, spending other people's money, and spreading misery equally.

Dems have plotted their brains out on how to "destroy America"; and they can't even grasp good common sense, honor, and valor; and doing the right thing. They've got this real-hangup about "being in charge".
