Islam is a religion we can no longer blow off like Courtney Love and relegate to a concerned but removed one-hour National Geographic special. Since 9/11, Islam has been forcefully, painfully shoved into the American spotlight and our increased awareness has been very unpleasant.
Ever since the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, Islam has officially ceased (for many myopic Americans) to be just an out-of-the-ordinary, mysterious religion that we watch from time to time on cable. Truth be told, at the end of the day, the growing threat of Islamic jihad still hasnt really got our attention because American Idol is on and Fantasia is about to sing, Crocodile Rock.
No longer a removed religion, separated by thousands of miles, the Muslim world has officially moved next door to us to the tune of five-seven million U.S. residents, with the numbers growing daily.
Given this emergent Islamic religious sector within our country and the September 11, 2001 attacks by Muslims, coupled with Muqtada Al-Sadrs murderous insurgency in Iraq, we seriously need to get the skinny on what these people believe. And, if they want to live in the U.S., we need to determine whether they intend to mitigate the extreme bents of their religion if and when they settle into the American melting pot. The need to understand Islam, therefore, is an imperative for us average Joes.
Islam can no longer remain a puzzling, foreign faith to us. Weve got to examine
-snip-
If Muslims detest us and that for which we stand, then why why do they want to move here?
As things stand, as I attempt to understand this faith which is radically different from Christianity, there is nothing Ive found in Islam that makes me believe it is a peaceful religion. Much as I like and respect you, Mr. President, Im not dancin to your Islam is a religion of peace tune.

The "moderates" of Islam do not DENOUNCE the actions of the "radicals". To me, that fact PROVES they implicitly support those murderous activities.

Islam is a false religion, started by a blood thirsty killer named Mohammed. As with most false religions, it is man's attempt to reach God, not God reaching out to us.
Make no mistake, do not be deceived - Islam is a world revolution whose end is hell for all those enter into it.
We must fight it and destroy it wherever it raises its ugly head, since Islam will not police itself.
Yes, until they give up their bloodthirsty Jihad, we are at war with Islam, whether you believe it or not.

They have the will, but not the power. We have the power. Do we have the will?

If there's one thing these subhumans have done, is that they've forced the cowards and capitulators in our own midst to show their true colors.

Yes, the "religon of peace" isn't. I wish President Bush hadn't confused the issue. The WOT will never be successful unless we come to grips with that fact.

The author is a cutie pie

and with the "Average Joe" and sitcom references it's hard to take him seriously, but the link in the article to
jihadwatch was worth the read if only for the "religious leaders" rationalization for encouraging the mutilation of bodies. It would be interesting to attend one of this pastor's sermons this weekend.

One dead muslim fanatic today equals one or more non-muslim life saved tomorrow. It's that simple.

Right on target.
This started long ago and will continue.
Ishmael, a result of Abraham's unwillingness to wait on God. If he only knew what his sin would cause.

in reference to Ishmael, bastard son of Abram and his wife's handmaid Hagar.Ishmael may indeed have been a bastard, in the uncomplimentary reference to character sense.
But he was not legally a bastard by the customs of the time or by the later Mosaic law.

Most American's don't understand the resolve we must possess to DEFEAT OUR ENEMY.
The fanaticism of the WW2 Japanese army and islamaslime fighters are very similiar.
Our country was UNITED when we defeated the Germans and Japanese.
We are not UNITED presently. The fu*king democraps are politicizing this war for political gain. Our President gets it - We are at war and we must not stop until the forces of terrorism have surrendered or are dead.
