NEW YORK (AP) Former counterterrorism adviser Richard Clarke's best-selling book may soon be a movie. Sony Pictures Entertainment has purchased the film rights to Against All Enemies, Sony vice chairwoman Amy Pascal told The New York Times for its Saturday editions.
In the best-selling book, Clarke, a counterterrorism adviser to the past three presidents, charges that the Bush administration prioritized Iraq above threats from al-Qaeda before and after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
The movie version is to be produced by John Calley, the entertainment group's former chairman, who worked on the 1976 Watergate drama All the President's Men at Warner Brothers.

When did it become a best selling book? Is it in the fiction or science fiction section of the book stores?

It's true, then. A lie can go around the world while the truth is still pulling its boots on.

Alec Baldwin as Clarke, unsung hero of the bureaucracy, 30 year government bow-wow...

Yeah, I'm sure Kerry appreciates the thought, but can they get the movie made in time for an early October release?
To: traumer
Haven't read it and won't, but I don't see how this is a movie with any appeal whatsoever. Lies, distortions aside....how is this a compelling story?

I would not buy the book. I would not pay to see the movie, I would not watch any television station that would choose to air it, nor would I knowingly buy any products from any company that would sponsor any of it.
Clarke is already collecting indefinite retirement and medical benefits on our tax dollars for spending fifteen years working in a job where he could not or would not perform. If he even bothered to take his job seriously, 911 may have never occurred - let alone the USS Cole, the WTC in 1993, the OKC bombing, etc.
I will not pay to read or see his pack of lies. It's bad enough that the main stream media is hell bent on force feeding it to us on a daily basis to further the democratic political agenda, and continues to line this man's pockets with more money.

They'd better release before the real stories come out and Clarke is facing prison.
