I'm glad I saw your post before I sign off.
While I would prefer he had included the sub-headline too, he's juxtaposed the current AP article that acts like this is new news and under it has this and he includes the *2002* date. If one clicks his link they will see the sub-header.
We'll have to know and hope that there are some people who will "get it".
Plus frankly, now that Drudge has posted it the media cannot pretend they haven't seen the 2002 piece, cuz they sure will now.
Thanks for sending it to him, and thanks to Drudge for putting it up.

I am no longer amazed at the research skills of Freepers.
It's become routine... Kudos!!
I did my part. I fired off an email to the 911 commission, citing the transcript and woodword's article (with a link to it). I also asked for a public apology, by the commission & Ben-Veniste to the American public and specifically to Dr. Rice.

Drudge has linked to the 2002 Washington Post story.

I am not surprised by the research skills, but the secret memo being in the Washington Post 2002 caught me off guard. LOL.
Liberals must hate the internet. Anyone send this to the Wash Times? NewsMax? FrontPageMag?

Great -- Too often I forget that the entire country doesn't frequent the site. I emailed FNS/FNC and more -- Most importantly e-mail everyone that may not see it on either medium. Email your liberal friends -- ask them how they account for the coverage!
What did the media know, and when did they know it.

As one who is in constant touch with government officials, I can say with certainty that principal govt. officials never read emails. If they do, it is after they are reviewed and sometimes edited by underlings.
And I am quite sure that the Democratic underlings would ignore or delete your email.
The GOP side has nothing to apologize for.
It IS frustrating, I admit. The GOP side of the commmission, and the Administration, should be doing a much better job of getting out the truth.
I would suggest embarassing the other side (Gorelick, Clarke, BumVineste, etc) by demanding them to make public the time, date, place and mannor of THE NEXT terrorist attack on US soil, or anyplace for that matter.

marginoferror did a great job finding this article.
Since Drudge took note of and linked to the 2002 article, I just dropped him a line pointing out the August 2001 PDB title is given in the first sentence.
I then gave him a link to Fox's transcript of yesterday's hearings and I cut and pasted BV's claim that until yesterday they could not reveal the title.
To: cyncooper
Good work .. I'm busy doing a few emails myself
Also on another note .. when Chrissy Mathews had the 9/11 widows on .. they mentioned they were already aware of this memo

You may find this Washington Post article from 2002 of interest.
It talks about the August 2001 PDB that Rice spoke of yesterday. It also gives its title.
To: max_rpf
The fact that this story had no legs in 2002 is an indication for us in 2004.

Why would Drudge take it down? This is great news, it blows the doors off the Democrats 'Memo' nonsense. AND Drudge will be able to talk about it on his Sunday show before Rush and Hannity can mention the 2002 article.

Drudge has linked to the 2002 Washington Post story. Yes, I see that now he has. The original link he had was to "my way news" or some such, and "my way" did not have the sub headline. This is a much better link for him to put up.
As you point out, much credit to marginoferror for finding this.
To: Mo1
I emailed the link and a short description to 'Best of the Web' over at OpinionJournal.
This cannot br covered up. The conservatives in the media have to bring this out.
