Yes, Happy Birthday, Iraq.
Your terrible twos will no doubt be rough, but by 3-T things should be looking pretty peachy, we all hope.
To many More!

All free men are brothers, my brother. Enjoy your freedom. There once was a brother of mine, his name was Patrick Henry, and he was from Virginia. He said, "Give me Liberty or Give me death". That puts freedom in perspective.
Mohammad, you can have all the gold in all the world and that's not rich, you can have all the palaces in all the world, and that's not rich. You can be a free man with one dollar in your pocket and a dream, and then you are rich. Freedom is the soil that dreams grow in, look at the United States. We had nothing but a dream and freedom and look what we made.
God bless you my brother, and you will be free. We guarantee it!

What Iraq needs far more than these sentimental bloggers is freedom fighters who are less talk and more action. Why doesn't this kid organize pro-coalition rallies with his likeminded friends? If all they can do is express their solidarity with our cause in cyberspace, I think we're in trouble.

Yes, its the 9th of April. I lit the 1st candle todayI guess this means Iraq has just entered its "terrible twos." I don't think Sadr will last for a full year, though.

All these guys are incredible. They really do give you hope. They are learning. To those who ask "why don't they fight" I say.....would you go out on the streets with a gun in your hands with our military fighting a battle? How exactly do you suppose our guys, who are having a hard enough time, going to figure out who is on our side and who is against us. Best way to identify yourself as one on the side of the Americans is by staying out of their way.

At first when I read your post I thought "what a party-pooper, lighten up".
But you know what, you are right. When are the good IrAqis going to take to the streets and protest and fight the likes of those in Fallujah?
