redlipstick, you are not just my best freeper friend, but best friend, period. Wouldn't have met without FR. And what was funny was when we met in real life I and my family had flown many thousands of miles and we met up later at night and had to pry our husbands apart as they hit it off, too!

So many good posters keeping on top of stories, that as Howlin often points out, by the time the news channels are discussing it, it seems like "old news" to us!

It would be easier to ask which FReepers I don't admire, because that list is exceedingly small. I admire ANYONE who is willing to be active for a cause they believe in, even if I happen to disagree with a given person on a given issue. Far, far too many Americans fail to fit civic affairs into their busy lives because they simply don't seem to realize how important it is.

On FR, I especially admire each person who may not have a gift for expressive writing, but who sticks to it and makes their points. It's not the beauty of how something is expressed that matters in the end, but what is expressed.

On FR, I also especially admire each person who will not give up on President Bush, even if they may have one or more points of disagreement with GWB. I admire people with clear-eyed common sense and an understanding of just what a precious, rare gift our Founding Fathers bequeathed to us. And I admire people who understand and accept our duty to preserve this incomparable nation for our descendants, and to teach our children to cherish it as we do.

The list of people on FR who meet this discription is long. Most will be mentioned in posts by others. So I just want to say a sincere, "Thank you, all. I am proud to be in your company."

Last, but certainly not least, in light of world events since 9/11, the FReepers I admire most are those who are either in active military service themselves, or who have a close relative in the service. God bless you all. There are no words to express my gratitude.

redlipstick, I'm touched and humbled by the honor you've given to me. There are some Freepers who are exasperating (you know the ones I mean). The vast majority of Freepers, however, are among the absolute best people in the world, who mix it up in the world's greatest online community. People here (by and large) are intelligent, articulate, humorous, and principled. But there are others, among the larger group, whom I have really come to value. They are all of the above, but are also tremendously loyal, with strong convictions, of great courage, uplifting in their encouragement, ever optimistic, cleverly resourceful, stubbornly commitment to the cause and to their compatriots, and have proven themselves to be fierce warriors for the good. I hope you know that I include you in that group of special Freepers. I am pleased to consider you, and others as well (you mentioned many of them in your list), as a friend, and I'm glad we're on the same team.

Also, I'm honored you would place me in the same category as Wolfstar, with whom I am proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder. Your thoughtfulness means a lot.

I thank God for FreeRepublic, and I thank God for all of you.

I'm not going to make a list because it would be extremely long ..

There are so many Freepers I admire in many different ways .. they have taught me so many things I was never aware of before .. they are all very intelligent .. they are caring and always there for you in a heart beat with prayers, thoughts and good advice .. they are extremely funny, witty and charming .. They are outstanding with the amount of research in finding what is truth and what is fiction .. there are many freepers that are serving or have served in our military and I am forever grateful to them for protecting our freedoms

Bottom line ... Freepers are the BEST bunch of folks that I'm honored to be associated with

I can only think of one that annoyed me to no end that has a gift of knowing nothing and is a master of cut and paste
