Same here - back in the day, he offered to send me an extra 56K modem he had lying around because I was still using a 28.8 back in '99. A really gracious fellow.

My favorite freeper is the one who sent me fifteen pounds of live crawfish when I said I was missing them at Mardi Gras here in Missouri. I did not even know the person, but gave him my address by Freepmail when he said he would sent me some crawfish. I did and they arrived by FedEx in a few days.

And I lost his freepername. But, he or she knows who they are. I am totally amazed at the kindess of Freepers to total strangers.
