I've never given Imus much "weight" when it comes to his personal views. I do like his style of interviewing, most of the time. You are correct, he's gone off the deep end, especially in the last couple of weeks.
Matthews is a "known quantity"....when he grow up he hopes to supplant Russert (a dubious goal, imho).
My point is if we blind ourselves to what the "other side" is saying....we blind ourselves.
In short, I've learned in life never to turn my back on a vicious dog.

Fair enough, Badeye. You can watch and tell us what they're saying. For years after I was sickened by Dan and Peter and Tom, I would tune in for the same reasons--know thy enemy, then said "enough". That threshhold has been crossed for me re: Matthews and I've joined the MSNBC boycott in total. My dial has not landed there since I took the pledge.
But by all means, keep us informed of what's going on. You can be our spy.
