VANITY: I'll Make an FR Donation for Everyone Who Pledges to Boycott MSNBC

I've been driven to post my first vanity by the out and out disgusting behavior of Chris Matthews and Don Imus. Matthews gave full rein today to 4 9/11 widows spouting conspiracy theories...he even said that VP Cheney should be given sodium pentathol before his Commission testimony. Imus has become unwatchable. He has gone far beyond humor in his insults of President Bush - far beyond.
So, here's the deal... the only way we can hurt MSNBC's ratings is by boycotting them ourselves. I'm willing to donate 25 cents to FR for every boycott pledgee on this thread - my maximum is $50, but so is my minimum!
I'm hoping that others might be willing to match my donations. How about it guys? I would love to wake up in the morning and find at least a hundred pledges.

Dan Rather Pi$$ed me off in 1988 with his interview/interogation of Bush #41, I haven't watched CBS since. I also gave up ABC, and NBC. No MTV, no PBS, no CNN of any kind. Other than HGTV and Fox news, I don't watch television and then only less that 3 hours/week.
I think that my dedication to boycotting the media should be worth at least $.50 LOL.
(Chris Matthews doesn't bother me at all and my blood pressure is just fine 8^) )

I tell you , we are dealing with the baby boomers of the 1960s and their wannabes.
The Baby Boomers = America's Worst Generation!!!
They need to die off and with them their anit-americanism needs to go to.

You do not have to make a donation for me:-) I don't watch MSNBC anymore and never will again. I also do not watch CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, PBS, or TBS or any of their affiliates. I occasionally watch FOX NEWS and I get my news from right here, FRee Republic and Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and a little of Neal Boortz. The rest can go fly a kite straight into the drink.

I'll boycott...but it's not really fair. I'm stationed in Guam and we only get Fox (which I watch all of the time) or CNN International (which I never watch) on our cable. In Japan we didn't get PMSNBC either. I promise when Drudge or Rush have a link to PMSNBC on their sites, I won't click on it. Semper Fidelis.
To: redlipstick
I don't have cable - I never watch MSNBC --- but I'll boycott it anyway!

OK, I'm boycotting MSNBC. Chris Matthews has been over the top for months. I'm making a donation to FR right now.

I'll be honest, I don't watch MSNBC, and I pledge to continue not watching them.
MSNBC has such poor ratings already - I like to think that I'm part of their problem.

To benefit FR, I'd take your offer, but to be fair, I have to point out I haven't seen MSNBC in about a year now.(No particular reason, really. I somehow just got in the habit of limiting it to 4 or so channels--Fox, History, Food TV, and old movies. I'll add another when football starts.)
So I'll pledge to boycott, and you can decide if that qualifies or not.
P.S. I do like Pat Caddell-- a dem who is sick of his fellow dems, but I don't know if he is ever on anymore or not.
To: redlipstick
OK, no Scarborough, even though his show is quite a refreshing break from the rest of the garbage we've seen on MSNBC today.
I'm in.

No, you can pledge a penny a person, or whatever you want.
I've got to get upstairs now, I want a long thread in the morning!

Here's my quarter's worth: I don't watch either of those two creeps or that channel. Nor any of the "big three" for that matter. Liberals wouldn't know fair and balanced if it kicked them in the throat (the sooner the better).

I don't know if you have seen a similar thread at the DUmp...but they had 5 threads at 5 cents a 'kick' and raised over $500. Surely we can do better...
I'll bump $25... Freep mail coming

the only way we can hurt MSNBC's ratings is by boycotting them ourselvesLOL! I just saw that part of your post.....reading the replies, I have to ask how us boycotting MSNBC is gonna hurt their ratings? We don't seem to watch it anyway.
Because that made me laugh (and I happened to need one)---I'M MATCHING YOUR PLEDGE----$50 BUCKS TO FREEREPUBLIC IN THE NAME OF THE MSNBC BOYCOTT!!!!
To: redlipstick; Dolphy
