Mansfield police have arrested a 19-year-old man and three others in connection with the slayings of the man's parents last December.
Andrew Wamsley and his girlfriend, Chelsea Richardson, 20, were arrested Wednesday at a Forest Hill residence. Both are charged with solicitation of capital murder in the deaths of Mr. Wamsley's parents.
Two others Susana Toledano, 19, and Hilario Cardenas, 24 were also arrested and charged with capital murder in the case. Ms. Toledano is being held in an Illinois prison awaiting extradition to Texas.
"So far, we have no motive," said Officer Thad Penkala with the Mansfield Police Department. "The case is still ongoing."
Mr. Wamsley, Ms. Richardson and Mr. Cardenas were each being held at the Mansfield Law Enforcement Center in lieu of $1 million bail.
Ms. Toledano is being held on an additional $5 million fugitive bail set by the state of Illinois.
Mansfield police say DNA evidence linked Ms. Toledano to the slayings. Investigators are unsure how Andrew Wamsley, Ms. Toledano and Mr. Cardenas are acquainted, but police said statements given by Ms. Toledano and Mr. Cardenas led to the additional arrests.
The arrests stem from the deaths of Rick Wamsley, 46, and Suzanna Wamsley, 45, whose bodies were found after officers responded to a 911 call from their home in the 800 block of Turnberry Drive.
Rick Wamsley died of multiple gunshot wounds and "sharp force wounds," the Tarrant County medical examiner reported. Ms. Wamsley died of a gunshot wound to the head and had post-mortem stab wounds. The couple had lived about 10 years in the brick home in the neighborhood near Walnut Creek Country Club.
Officer Penkala said neighbors initially reacted with shock and fear, but he hopes the arrests will help ease those worries.
"We have told the citizens of Mansfield that we believed this was an isolated incident, and we still believe that to this day," said Officer Penkala. "That street, that community is still a little concerned, and perhaps this will bring a little relief, a little closure."

MANSFIELD - Rob Brown said he wants to believe police officers' assertions that his family is safe, a week after a couple were found slain in his Mansfield neighborhood.
Brown and other residents of Walnut Estates, which surrounds the fairways of Walnut Creek Country Club, are uneasy because no one has been arrested in the slayings of Rick Wamsley, 46, and his wife, Suzanna, 45.
"There is just no information being let out about what's going on with the murders. We're worried about our safety," said Brown, who travels occasionally for business. "The tension level in the neighborhood is pretty high. I would like to be able to put my family at ease."
Police found the Wamsleys' bodies shortly before midnight Dec. 11 in their 2-story house in the 800 block of Turnberry Drive.
Responding to a 911 call that "went silent," officers entered the house through an open garage door. Rick Wamsley's body was found on the living room floor, shot and stabbed multiple times; his wife's body was on the couch nearby with a fatal shot in the head, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police have told residents that the homicides were isolated crimes but haven't said why they drew that conclusion.
"We can't always release all the details, because it might jeopardize our investigation and eventually the prosecution of a case," police spokesman Thad Penkala said.
The Texas Rangers are assisting Mansfield police in the investigation. The killings are the fifth and sixth homicides in Mansfield this year. The city typically averages about one a year.
Penkala said police have no record of an officer being called to the Wamsleys' house before Dec. 11.
Rick Wamsley, who was a certified public accountant, worked at home on oil and gas litigation. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, he worked for several oil companies before moving to Mansfield in 1995.
Wamsley and his wife met in high school in Bartlesville, Okla. The town of about 30,000 is 45 miles north of Tulsa. They dated while Suzanna Wamsley attended Oklahoma Christian College and married two years after her high school graduation.
"They talked about moving back to Bartlesville after Rick retired," said Melissa Storm, Suzanna Wamsley's younger sister. "We've all experienced a tremendous loss. I don't think we'll ever know why this happened. But hopefully, police can catch someone and make sense of a very senseless act."
The couple celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in July. They are survived by their daughter, Sarah Wamsley, 24, and their son, Andrew Wamsley, 19.
Private funeral services are scheduled Monday in Bartlesville.
Thanks. I hope they bring the perps to justice soon.
