I just noticed you used C-SPAN as the source for the thread.

Bob Kerrey is a total grandstanding nightmare. Is he lobbying for a position in a Kerry administration if there is one???
This commission is a joke. No mention of Sudangate or the lousy, not-worth-the-paper-it-was-written-on Gore Commission on Security Aviation.
Roemer is a total hack. I can't stand these preening, partisan jerks.

Are the commissioners the ones supposed to testify?? This is so enraging!!! This is unbelievable!!!!!
To: OXENinFLA
Ut O! Roemer's getting 'the look'!

Does anyone really expect anything but a witch hunt from the KEAN FOLLIES?
Notice how KEAN permits the DNC cheering section to continue. Where is the RED HOOK? He is looking into National Security issues and he can't even maintain order in the hearing room!

Dem--shouldn't we have taken action to prevent a possible disastrous attack if we even suspected it was their intent?
Pres Advisor--Excellent plan, one we are implementing in Iraq and Afghanistan. Good to know even our political opponents are with us on this. We will defeat terrorism together.

Dr. Rice was excellent! She kept her composure, didn't get rattled by the attack-dogs or hostile audience.
Hopefully a hole lot of young black women have found a new role-model as of today. ...let's hope.

KERREY: Why didn't we swat that fly?
RICE: I believe that there's a question of whether or not you respond in a tactical sense or whether you respond in a strategic sense; whether or not you decide that you're going to respond to every attack with minimal use of military force and go after every _ on a kind of tit-for-tat basis.
By the way, in that memo, Dick Clarke talks about not doing this tit-for-tat, doing this on the time of our choosing.
I'm aware, Mr. Kerrey, of a speech that you gave at that time that said that perhaps the best thing that we could do to respond to the Cole and to the memories was to do something about the threat of Saddam Hussein.
That's a strategic view ...
(APPLAUSE)
And we took a strategic view. We didn't take a tactical view. I mean, it was really _ quite frankly, I was blown away when I read the speech, because it's a brilliant speech. It talks about really ...

This question may have already been answered; I haven't gone thru all posts yet.
Who were the people coming up to Dr. Rice after she finished testifying? Were they 911 family members? They all appeared to be happy to see her and were friendly with her.
I think, after seeing Dr. Condoleeza Rice in action for 3 hours, we can begin to understand why liberals are a little nervous about her running for president or VP. Boy! Does she ever beat...uh, you know, uh...Senator Clinton's...uh, you know...delivery and...you know, uh...

Having Condoleeza Rice testify at this hearing was never about learning any truths about the 9/11 attacks. It was and is a ploy by the left to perpetuate their anti-Bush agenda via the media (their allies) and to get their Frenchman elected. This was proven countless times in todays hearings as various Democrats continually brought up the war in Iraq and made pointed accusations and often hostile attacks in the line of questioning. This was a witch-hunt by the left pure and simple.
What the left didnt count on was Rices intelligence, even-tempered and concise answers to their increasingly hostile questions. She made them look foolish. The Dems are going to be SCRAMBLING and SPINNING on every media outlet they can. Sadly, they will have lots of help from the ABC/NBC/CBS talking heads, but anybody who watched the hearings will have seen the TRUTH. It doesnt get better then that!

Two things: Dr. Rice kept talking about improving security "structure". Translation: the US gestapo wants MORE "Patriot" Acts to spy on even MORE of our private lives to weed-out the "troublemakers" 1984.
Other thing: they are SO concerned about "watching the borders" Funny thing; they apparently don't know about the border between the US and Mexico.
