didn't Woolsey resigned due to the lack of communication between the White House and the CIA? No. He resigned because there was NO communication between the White House and the CIA. Woolsey stated he NEVER met Clinton one-on-one.

"Condi says that the September 4 National Security directive on Al Qaeda and terrorism was the FIRST national security directive of the Bush Administration...NOT missile defense, NOT Russia."
Clarke would have us believe that if he wasn't present then it didn't happen... He might have known what was going on had he attended more meetings.

Tenet met with x42 twice from the time he became director, but don't forget -- clinton didn't meet with Woolsey at all -- not even one time during clinton's first 2 years in office! Not once. I think Woolsey quit in frustration.

Warned Taliban they'd be held responsible for any AQ attacks.

For the cubicle boud, here is some of the chatter picked up:
something big, very big, will happen in a few weeks
there will be a big event coming
To: GWB00
Rice recounts emphatic but very vague warnings that they heard:
There will be a VERY VERY VERY Big Event.
Review took place of Al Qaeda plans to attack within the U.S.
One was a hijacking plan that would be carried out, and involved using the passengers as hostages.
Rice on July 5 met with Card and Clarke and asked Clarke to make sure air agencies took extra steps to insure safety even though no specific threat.
Throughout heightened threat period they took steps to disrupt. Five urgent warnings issued. Military was placed on heightened alert.
Taleban was warned they would be held responsible for an Al Qaeda attack (as we freepers reviewed last week)

Is BET covering this or are they running an old episode of Sanford and Son?

Oh ye of little faith.
She's doing great!!
Condi's opening is organized, articulate, and very informative. Of what the administration did, the President's actions, and her own as well, and why they formulated the plan they did, to coordinate their attack on terrorism with their regional strategy.
She's quoting the terrorists "chatter".
She's taking the mischaracterizations one by one and responding.
Of course Condi won't satisfy the left activists and democrat partisans who determined to try and destroy President Bush. Not to worry! American voters will see these biased lefties are more aligned with our enemies than with what's best for the country.

Condi telling us about the FAA issuing five alerts to personnel including specific warnings about hijacking.
FBI issues alerts. Paid off informers. Went to 20 countries trying to find information.
She and her staff called foreign officials asking for assistanace of intelligence.

She told Clarke to heighten security inside the US in June 2001.
Per Clarke, HE put his 'crew' on alert for 6 weeks (he did not say he was told to by Dr. Rice; it was HIS decision.). When nothing happened, HE took them off high alert. (That would have been just a few weeks for 9-11. If anyone fell down on the job, it looks like it was Clarke by taking the team off high alert.)
