Unfortunately, and IMHO criminally, the 911 commission will NEVER accuse Bill Clinton of negligence UNLESS they also wrap George Bush in that same cloak. The BLAME GAME is preordained and of little consequence to our nation' future. Both Presidents will be blamed equally. The fact that one had 8 years and the other less than 8 months ONLY matters because the one with 8 months was a Republican. Were it reversed the REPORT would devestate the GOP.

What we can all hope for is SOME GOOD recommendations (hindsight being 20-20) that can be implemented to help deter/prevent future attacks.

However no recommendation from this panel will deliver the results that KILLING ALL THE ISLAMOFACIASTS in the world would!

I don't have cable anymore and my TV "antenna" reception sucks, but I do have DSL and am enjoying watching the poised Miss Rice as she slices, dices and juliennes the past participants in the Clinton reign of corruption (Jamie Gorelick and Dick Ben-Veniste). All they can do is smile their icy smiles as she lands hit after subtle hit, in the most ladylike way I've ever witnessed, square in the gut of the Clinton administration.

But maybe I'm reading too much into her comments.

I was hard on her right after September, but she acquitted herself well today, in explaining the administration's actions WRT national security in the months leading up to September 11th.

From what I've seen and read about Condi Rice, she is pretty straight forward, so I am pretty certain that you aren't reading anything other than the truth.

She is quite a lady and I do admire here. The job she has is tough, not one I would want...

It's too bad that likely half of the people of the US will never realize that fact!

And I remember reading quite a few posts from Freepers during Clintons last few years that America would end up paying dearly for the 8 years of Clinton. Little did I know that we would see the deadly results in as few as 9 months after he left office. One would think that the Democrat party loyalists who failed to put pressure on Clinton to resign would have at least worried at some point about their own national security. They should have handed the National Security keys to Bush et. al. with a sigh of relief. Instead they ran around saying Bush stole the election and was an illegitimate President. I think the nitwit rallying cry was that Bush was 'Selected' not 'Elected'. The investigation we need to have public is the one that Clinton gave in private after Rices testimony. We also need to find out if any long term employees in the CIA and FBI purposely were derelict at their duty due to their loyalty to democrats who said Bush was not the legitimate President.

We did pay dearly, and we could very well pay much more for Clinton's betrayal of us. Nuclear proliferation exploded under Clinton, along with the long range missile technology needed to get nuclear warheads to American soil. That's why Bush was so concerned about missile defense when he came into office.

This about sums up the legacy of Bill Clinton. He obviously had another agenda rather than running this great nation. Hitlery would do no better as her interests are not that of the well being of the United States or it's people.
