It's time for a definitive discrediting of CAIR. When the K.K.K. issues a press release or holds a news conference, the media don't widely publicize it -- and CAIR is hardly much different. Exposing CAIR as a kind of hate group, in such a big way that they lose all credibility with the popular media, should help to close the "immigration/civil rights loophole" for the islamistsas.

He never existed. He is a figment of the American media's imagination. This is the same group of people who equate any "religious" person to be morally equivalent, whether one is preaching love, and salvation through faith in a God who sacrificed His own Son for mankind, or whether one preaches hate, and sends young Muslim son's to kill inncents for Allah.

Excellent point. The price for moral relativism is higher now than it has been in some time. And that price has been brought to our very doorsteps.
The trouble with not discerning between genuine moral leadership and fanaticism is that it validates the fanatics and they want to see us all dead.
Moral relativism is actually a form of suicide.

It depends on the religion you relate to. I think that everybody should read the Koran and the moral relativism that the Koran advises against the infidels. Converting or killing does not leave much room for moderation to a true believer of the Muslim faith.

To place your reliance on the moderate Muslim that is willing to ignore a key part of his religion is suicidal as you say. Watch the unfolding saga in Iraq to get a picture of the problem we are up against. These people are just as fanatic as the Kamikazee pilots in the South Pacific in WW II. You have to know the enemy before you can defeat him. Unfortunately, we are still in the learning process.

politics can be a form of religion - - and it becomes that for people who reject the concept of "nations under god". For them, the state is god, and any competing religion is OK exactly if it bows the knee to THEIR god, the state.

Recognizing this helps to keep things that happen sorted out.

The notion that the civil realm can be "neutral" ('your god is OK, and so is mine') is the reigning myth in the territories of such messianic states.

Guess what? We live in such a state. Think of it as "Rome on the Potomac" and you've got a good reference point for current events.
