I was raised as a Christian and I heard and saw a lot of nutty stuff in that time as a way to demonstrate someone's idea of spreading the faith. I don't remember anyone assaulting the Easter bunny or busting up his eggs though.
On the bright side, she didn't strap a bomb belt on her kid and give him bus fare.

Do the full effect for Mr. Conspiracy...When I was told the Santa/Satan 'link' I was pulled, literally, into a powder room (that was hardly big enough for one person) to be told how I was de-Christianing Christmas for my kids...but, (no kidding) I wasn't to be blamed for this, seeing as how I am a Catholic. Imagination activities are great if the kids are the ones doing the imagining. In the case on the "Holiday fairies", the parents are foisting 'imagination games' on the kids. Don't tell me you've never seen a parent hold believing over a skeptical kid's head as a requirement for receiving presents.
