Oriana Fallaci's new book says Europe is becoming 'a province of Islam'

A new book by controversial journalist Oriana Fallaci that hit bookstores here Monday accuses Europe of having sold its soul to what she describes as an Islamic invasion.

"Europe becomes more and more a province of Islam, a colony of Islam. And Italy is an outpost of that province, a stronghold of that colony," the book says. "In each of our cities lies a second city: a Muslim city, a city run by the Quran. A stage in the Islamic expansionism."

Thanks for the reply, but I'm not comforted by the 5-6% Muslim figure. Despite the measures you've described, that figure can quickly grow to 10-15%, and then you've got a group that the politicians can't ignore. And if 5% of the 15% are militants, you've got big trouble. Don't be complacent; things can turn around very quickly. Ten years ago, the idea of gay marriage was laughable; now those who oppose it are on the defensive.

I made no such claim; I was merely repeating what we've all seen in the news, many times, about the inroads of Islam in Europe and the decline of Christianity. When Kirkbloke replied, I didn't say he was wrong, I simply explained the basis for my comments.

I think Detroit is one city with a major Muslim population; also northern New Jersey. And there are others, I've seen lists of cities with significant immigrant Muslim populations, but don't remember specifically where they are. Here in Seattle, the local "public access" TV station has a lot of Islamic programming.

How many muslim men in Holland marry muslim women from there as opposed to sending or looking back home for a less westernized bride?

How many mosques are there?

Are there muslims in the Dutch military?

What % of inmates in Dutch prisons are muslim?

Why did Holland allow by law for muslim children to take their first years of schooling in a foreign language?

Europe, particularly Northern & Western Europe is in a post-Christian era where a brand of secular socialism, now in its second generation has replaced religion. This means that younger members of that society know nothing else, they have no religious base or core to which they can return. The muslim-european has a stringently enforced societal structure that is faith based and unsophisticated. The post-Christian, secular-socialist European has a political structure as his religion. In a head to head struggle one will prevail, the other (the one lacking the foundation of belief) will crumble.

The movie's not over yet but if Europeans don't wake up and turn to the strengths of their former culture they will find themselves citizens of Greater Eurabia. Of course a second alternative is a return to fascism.

Muslims are not a major component of any large American city including Detroit. Dearborn has a significant population of Arabs but they are not all Muslims.

As a resident of NJ there is something I just don't get. We, yes, I will speak for the majority of JERSEYANS my fellow citizens are well aware of the situation of Muslim infestations in our state.
We are also wondering what do those outside the state expect of us? Are we supposed to take some sort of action to prevent this?
We know how these people danced in the streets on the day of the attack, regardless of empty denials of their "leaders". It's on tape, we're just not allowed to show it.
So until such time we can address the matter please refrain from the pointing out the obvious, please do, however, current metastisizing in North Carolina.
