Blix Longs for Good Old Days of Saddam (Senility Alert!)
Newsmax ^ | 4/6/04

Posted on 04/06/2004 7:00:40 AM PDT by areafiftyone

Hans Blix, that honoree of NewsMax.com's Deck of Weasels, says the people of Iraq were better off under the mass-murdering dictatorship of Saddam Hussein.

"What's positive is that Saddam and his bloody regime is gone, but when figuring out the score, the negatives weigh more," the former chief U.N. weapons inspector was quoted as saying today in the Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten.

"That accounts for the many casualties during the war and the many people who still die because of the terrorism the war has nourished," the Swede complained. "The war has liberated the Iraqis from Saddam, but the costs have been too great."

So, should Saddam be reinstalled in Baghdad? Blix wasn't on record discussing that question.

Ol' Hans is just pi**ed that he's no longer getting his cut of the Oil for Food program graft.

I hope Hell has a particularly warm section reserved for the likes ol' Hansie.

By Blix's reckoning, WWII must have been an abysmal failure, since its costs were immeasurably greater than the war in Iraq. So I conclude Blix would prefer a world in which the Jews were exterminated and the Nazis controlled Europe. This is the logical conclusion of his comments - if fighting evil has significant costs, evil must be allowed to prevail.

No. Make him mayor of Fallujah.

I don't think this is senility, it's just the euro/scan history of subjugation.  Where our proud libertarian history instills a deep distaste for bowing down and licking some dictator's boots, theirs is awash in examples of ancestors doing just that.

It's a contrast in visions.

Apparently this is the mindset of all democreeps. They think the Iraqi people were better off under Saddam and that Bush is the Tryrant. So the Iraqi men and women are better off being tortured and raped whenever Saddam felt like it than being freed from tyrany. Amazing how warped their minds are. If we had a liberal dictator in this country in charge who was raping and killing men, women and children the liberals would say we are better off than if someone tried to free us becuse 600 soldiers got killed trying to free us. So in other words all dictators should stay in power as long as we don't try to free them and lose soldiers in the process.

My first thought too.

I heard a report early this morning on FoxNews about the OoF program. The analyst said it was Koffi's situation. It started and continued under his term as head of the UN.

Why haven't investigations of the UN started? Too many got too much.

The first official international act of the new Iraqi government should be use the ICC to sue the UN and Koffi and all involved in scamming the Oil for Food Program.

I didn't think that Blix was quite that obtuse, but I guess I'm wrong...obviously. Typical lib who can't see down the road. Actually there's strong proof that the lives of the average Iraqis are demonstrably better, but for Blix and other peaceniks, admitting one was wrong entails considerable loss of face with ones fellow appeaseniks. They don't have the courage to do whats right.

Blix is the guy the Liberals think so highly of they want to subordinate our national security to the likes of him and his UN buddies!
