They're trying to improve their reputation. Just brought in a liberal from Kerry's state to be president. Being known as a party school hasn't helped their enrollmen.

One sentence is pretty hard to copyright don't you think?
am i correct in assuming that second group does not even allow links to stories?
since when has linking been illegal on the net? what a bunch of morons those folks are.
You can link -- that's not a problem.
But at DU they don't excerpt -- they just post the entire story.
is DU less well known than FR? who runs DU and when did it start?
i went there one time, saw an article that said "top 10 conservative idiots" and left. They had a pic of zell miller up. zell is not even really that conservative. (although he is able to recognize kerry as an utterly useless cretin)
Its pretty small compared to FR, and it leans so left that it leans into the MSM.
Generally speaking, we don't talk much about them unless it is really relevant. They are a small bunch of idiots who don't deserve our time and trouble.
I was looking for this grand list on the FR home page once, but could never find it. Sorry if I'm blind, but maybe you could make it a tad more obvious for us.
Soon it will be to the point that before you can view any online news site story, you will have to enter a password.
I really don't understand the thinking of the news sources that do not want people to view their stories easily.
I've said this for a long time now. FR needs to tell these organizations they may not copy original FR material as they have been doing regularly.
They use FR to scan the news and then print their stories nearly verbatum to a post of a FReeper with a first hand account.
I just go to the original article when it initially appears, copy it in MS Word, name it and file it. I also make sure the original URL and all other pertinent info is on it.
Added investors.com (Investors Business Daily) to excerpt and link only list.
Bump for the newbies...
And another...folks (especially the newbies), please read and heed...

I'm just after finding out about the Irish/Sunday Independent not allowing their articles to be posted - a big set back for Irish Freepers.
I'm ahead of you - I tried to post that article earlier. I wonder why or who's responsible.
You'll find that the unison site also links to the Independent in the UK.
I think the complaint may have come from them initially - although, I can't be certain.
You think it sucks?
I work for the group!
The Independent not too bad - I bought it yesterday (rarely buy papers) and thought there was some good writers like Eoin Harris. I wasn't as bad as it could have been.
Any of your stuff in there Happy? (food & wine critic or maybe you'll be the next 'Keane edge')
I like the Sunday Indo.
Sometimes Eilis O'Hanlon is on the money, among others.
I miss Alan Ruddock. I always enjoyed his insightful commentary.
No Colosis, I haven't yet aspired to the dizzy heights of Sunday Independent column writing - but who knows? One of these lifetimes! *L*
We will just have to post articles from other websites
The Open Republic Institute's website sounds promising,
