So he is sponsered by the DNC? Waiting patiently for this story to get the recognition it deserves by the liberal press.....

I'm still waiting...

Herseth's Internet Backers Make Shocking Statements about the Recent Killings in Iraq

Every death should be on the front page... That said, I feel nothing over the death of merceneries. They aren't in Iraq because of orders, or because they are there trying to help the people make Iraq a better place. They are there to wage war for profit. Screw them. by KOS on Thu Apr 1st, 2004 at 15:08:56 GMT

New advertiser: Jeff Seemann for Congress
by kos
Sun Apr 4th, 2004 at 23:23:18 EDT

I know many of you are angry at the advertisers who pulled out of the site, as well as Kerry for pulling the dKos link. Seriously, don't sweat that. Everyone has to make decisions based on their local circumstances, and if they feel being associated with this site harms them, then I have no bad feelings.
I don't need those ads, or that Kerry link, so it doesn't affect me personally (as much as the Freepers would like to think otherwise, jealous as they are of the increasing relevance of the progressive blogosphere).

On the other hand, those that stay should be worthy of praise. Please be lavish with it. For example, Ohio congressional candidate Jeff Seemann has decided to step up to the plate:

I took their best shot, and... that was it?
by kos
Sat Apr 3rd, 2004 at 15:55:07 EDT

So I said something pretty stupid last week. I served up the wingnuts a big, juicy softball. They went into a tizzy, led by Instapundit.
And for a while, I was actually pretty worried.

But the final tally was -- about 30 hate-filled emails, about 15,000 hate-filled visitors, and the pulling of three advertising spots that are going to be replaced in less than a week. (I had two emails today about people wanting to advertise despite the controversy.)

That was it. Oh, they're doing their best to turn me into the devil, and they're making racist comments about my heritage and family and threatening to kick my ass -- you know, typical right-wing shit.

But if that's the best they can throw at me, I'll simply echo Kerry.

Bring it on.

The Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee are paying thousands of dollars to an alleged man whose response to the savage killing of those Americans was, “Screw them.”

Zuniga will certainly make a pretty hefty millstone around those dainty Democratic necks.

Every once in a while a leftwinger will let his mask slip revealing his ugliness.

This BOS has since tried to cover himself by "praising" our armed forces and continuing to slam the "mercenaries".

Marxists put people in groups and then demonize them: kulaks, bourgeoisie, mercenaries.

Kill them. If someone else does it say "Screw them."

The BOS has lost a couple of advertisers. Too little too late. Too bad we can't inflict more pain.

Are we supposed to believe Kos and his fellow Democrats actually cared about the doomed spouses of the 9/11 widows?

After all, those doomed spouses worked in the "capitalistic" World Trade Center and the "mercenary" Pentagon?

There is a small island in the eastern Aegean Sea that is Greek territory. It is very near Turkey. The island is called "Kos."

As Markos Zuniga seems to be of El Salvadoran and Greek extraction, I wonder if "Daily Kos" refers to the island.

started Daily Kos on May 26, 2002 (named after my Army nickname, rhymes with "rose"), and continue to maintain the site from Berkeley, California. In its first year, Daily Kos attracted over 1.6 million unique visits and about 3 million pageviews. It currently receives about 400,000 600,000 850,000 over 2.5 million unique visits per month.

I have also launched the Political State Report, a collaborative weblog (with over 100 contributors) tracking politics from all 50 states, and maintain Fishyshark -- another weblog tracking the daily foibles of impending fatherhood.

He lost four major advertisers (people running for office) but he gained one: Jeff Seemann. Seemann has a statement on the front page of his web site in which he says he wants to support Kos. NOWHERE does he mention what Kos actually SAID. Because it was shameful. Screw Jeff Seemann.

Thanks. Looks like he might not be Greek at all.

I wonder who Atrios is. Judging from his web site, he's a 45 year old with the maturity of a teenager.
