This is to be avoided at all cost....Kennedy is calling President Bush a liar and worse. Don't need to see or hear this.

Surprise, surprise. He has launced right into an attack on Bush over Iraq.
I wonder if the Kopecne family can listen to him talking about lying?

He's preaching to his choir. The more he puts his fat head on the tube, the better for W.

I don't intend to listen to FatTed--either this morning or this evening on Larry King. What's with Larry anyway. He's had nothing but liberals recently. As a result, I never watch his show.

The Brookings Institute is a 501(c)(03)
nonprofit corporation.
Their nonprofit status should be revoked immediately. They should have to pay standard corporate income taxes just like any other business. Anyone that has donated monies to the Brookings Institute should have their tax deduction credit charged back to them.
I called the Brookings Institute at (202) 797-6000 a minute ago and told them "you are a mouthpiece for the DNC party". The lady said they have other "speakers from the other side". I told her "that as a 501(c)(03) they were playing politics and should not have a tax exempt status. That the intent of nonprofits was for charity work. And they ain't in the charity business". She said she would not my comments. "I asked her if she thought it was wise to have a man speak at their forum that left a girl to drown to death". She said "no comment and goodbye".
Since about the first day I have posted here on FreeRepublic I have ranted about nonprofits. We need to reform the nonprofit corporation laws in America. Way to many of these outfits are either in business to enrich their handlers and/or push their onw political agenda.

If this was a speech by a conservative senator to a conservative audience on a Monday morning it would never be shown on C-Span. Not only is C-Span broadcasting the speech now but you can bet your house it will be re-broadcast twice a day for the rest of the week.

Nice job.
"speakers from the other side".
I've never seen anyone from the socalled, "other side" at Brookings.
To: Russ
I don't think it's fair to attack the messenger. C-SPAN covers many events at AEI.
To: leadpenny
He's taking questions. Wish I was there:
Senator Kennedy, as best you know has President Bush left a woman to drown to death after being drunk and causing an accident?

Earlier Rush was talking about how worried the Democrats are about Kerry's chances. I think he's right...and Kennedy being "out there" is proof. When's the last election Kennedy was out front and center, hitting the campaign trail for a demo candidate? I don't remember. But here he is making a highly touted speech, he was all over Iowa....I don't think it's loyalty to their state...I think it's desperation.

Something strange going on with Teddy. Maybe that qualifies as an oxymoron but I believe you're on to something. He is 72 years old and can probably easily win a 9th term in the Senate in O6. It seems like he is at the point for Kerry in attacking Bush. What for? Has Kerry promised him something? Does Kerry have something on him? Even for Fat Teddy, something is out of character.

Just to prove I'm paying attention, this comes up at 7:45 am Eastern:
Call-In
Iraq War and Terrorism
C-SPAN, Washington Journal
Washington, District of Columbia (United States)
Gerecht, Reuel Marc, Research Scholar, American Enterprise Institute
The guest talks about the Iraqi war and U.S. efforts to fight terrorism. He has a cover story on this subject in the latest Weekly Standard.
And this at 9:00:
Call-In
Private Security Forces in Iraq
C-SPAN, Washington Journal
Washington, District of Columbia (United States)
Roos, John, Managing Editor, [Armed Forces Journal]
The guest talks about private contractors providing security in Iraq, who they are, who they employ and what their jobs are in Iraq. On March 31 four members of the private security contractor Blackwater were killed in Fallujah, Iraq.

And at 7:37AM on C-Span 2 is Ted Kennedy's speech to the Brookings Institute replayed for the third time.

As you listen to this, does his words sound like Hillry speak? I believe Hillry has written Old Teddy's shrill words. (All his speeches)
To: Russ; Just mythoughts
The more that people see and hear Kennedy's speeches, the better it is for our side.
