Using that same logic, would it be a stretch to say that other soldiers, who received medals, may also be judged by the same (Kerry) standard, if his awards prove to fraudulant? "

I don't think so. Most people don't come back and keep saying over and over again what great heroes they are. When my Dad died, I found his medals and newspaper clippings. He never talked about it. He was in WWII, Korea and Vietnam.

I don't believe if Kerry did find a way to put himself in for medals, it cheapens eveyone else's medals. There's always some who takes advantage of a situation.

I'm sure there were a lot of brave men that never got a medal. Some volunteered for more than one tour of duty.

I respect your service and everyone else's.

Gee, just think IF your dad had been a conniving, low-life, self-promoting liar you could have been the son of a senator.

Just your bad luck to have been the son of a TRUE hero. :^(

Very, very true. Whenever I've had the priviledge to speak with combat veterans, they're almost always humble, and even self-effacing about their service. Whether Kerry's heroism is authentic or not, his bragging about his heroism is in poor taste.

Oh, and his voting record kind of stinks, too...
