True. I was responding to a prior post and didn't correct the poster.

I didn't mean to pick on you - I'm just a little sensitive on this subject because David Gregory, major clymer of NBC, takes great pleasure in saying NINE MONTHS.

With this kind of imprecision, how am I suppose to believe anything else Gregory utters?

Well, September IS the ninth month. Setting aside the FACT that Bush was sworn on on the 20th day of January (that's 2/3rds the way into the month for those of you in Rio Linda), and that 9/11 happened on the 11th day of the month, between the two partial months, you have seven full months and a few days.

Too much math for Gregory. I hope he doesn't have to worry about word problems like "If a train left Madrid at 7:00am going 60MPH...

Another thing that gets little mention is that the entire month of April, 2001 was taken up with the international incident involving our surveillance plane that was forced down over Hainan Island in China. This was a severe crisis and test for such a young presidency.

No doubt there was a lot of diplomacy behind the scenes even after the crew had been released from their "detainment" (I prefer to consider that they were hostages).
