If she's not guilty, then she is certainly criminally insane.
She needs to be confined for life.

This b*tch should die. I wish to God I could help her die, it would be a pleasure. But ya know what? She gets away with murder, but if they wanted to they could put me away for threatening her.
These stupid people on the jury let her get away with killing her own flesh and blood, and they let her maim and blind the littlest one. The blood of those two little boys is on THEIR hands as well.
There is NO justice in America any more. How the hell can they say she is NOT GUILTY when she herself told them she did the deed, and she described it with all relish - how she beat them to death with stones. She's not insane - she's evil.
Even that crazy Andrea Yates got prison for killing her children. This woman gets not guilty - NOT GUILTY. But this is a death sentence for someone - some other child, whose parent just figured out they can get away with murder, has just received their death sentence.

If God told her to do it, then why would she call 911?
Crazy people do crazy things.
That's right. Ted Bundy had sex with the corpses of his victims. They fried him anyway.

No, because that's the point--calling 911 was a rational thing to do. Huh?
So she could get herself arrested and charged? Don't see it Zook.

I think that even insane criminals should be punished. If they're really insane, they won't even realize their being punished. Also, it will deter others from trying to act as if they're insane. I'm only 10% kidding.

The whole thing is just horrendous. But, the judge and the prosecutors own psychiatrists both found her insane.

It's not necessarily certain that a person is nonstop nuts. One can, I suspect, be loonie as a Demhouse rat one minute, and vaguely rational the next.
To: holymoly
Don't think Ted rolled out the insanity defense

Didn't know what she was doing? She knew to call 911, knew to use different sizes of rocks for the size of the child, etc. etc.
Another case of perverted justice in this country. Juries are mostly illiterate these days because that is how the attorney's want them to be. The how does it feel society gone mad.

I haven't followed very closely either. But I agree with the jury's decision.

Yes, this jury was beyond stupid. How many cousins had to get married to produce this kind of stupidity? How many family trees had to stop forking in order to birth the massive, non-stop, drooling kind of imbecility that would find this woman NOT GUILTY???
To: don-o
She realized she did a horendous thing. How could she hide it? It would have been insane to sit there and do nothing. I'm sure she had some mental difficulties, but I'm also sure she had many rational oportunities over time to check herself in and prevent herself from harming her kids. Bottom line is that I view her as responsible and guilty.
But that's just me, not on the jury, etc.

Insantity defense is a tough one to win in Texas..... So with all the shrinks [4 or 5 that was used] including those used by the prosecution claiming she was incompetent then the jury bought into that line of reasoning.... I'd not fault the jury having not set in the jury box and heard all the evidence.... Maybe you know more than them but I'd doubt it.

Absolutely not. But the verdict should be GUILTY by INSANITY.

So, at some point, she should have checked herself in for treatment and asked someone to take her kids out of harms way. She didn't do that. In my opinion that makes her criminally liable and guilty.

sure in a perfect world, but she didn't see herself as insane, she saw herself as "chosen" like Abraham in the bible. I am NOT condoning her just trying to figure it out.
